Loved it here hehehe. We can even get custom cocktails! Friendly staff and nice comfort food (ordered two rounds of food yumm)
As you lift the glass to your mouth, the comfortingly warm and rich kaya foam hovers hesitantly on your lips before a deluge of boomingly fragrant, holey singlet-esque cold coffee cuts right through.
This cocktail is a Chinese New Year special.
Mix it and you can taste how flavorsome and well the ingredients come together π»

The Horse's Mouth is really a hidden hole situated below Uma Uma Ramen and beside fine dining restaurant Kaiseki Yoshiyuki. Serving a list of cocktails and Japanese fare, I almost wish it is my secret hideaway from the city life outside. π

I had this today. Perfectly pink and perfectly cooked in every way. Each pearl of rice had a lovely bite to it saving the dish from becoming mushy. The diced beets were a happy surprise with every bite and the scallops plump and juicy. But... But.. And I hate to say this.. But the dish was so salty.... Salty in the sense that there was either too much stock or.. Something. I really needed to drink A LOT of water (and the glass of water was so schmall I had to keep asking for refills :/) I'm not saying it was bad, I'm saying it was just too.. Much. Too much. Still worth coming for the lovely service and the dessert! Note to self: don't order something just cause it's pink! The dish costs $22 and is definitely more than enough for one person. Visit @epiphyte.sg to try it! β
Get dessert to balance out the flavours everyone.
Always love an empty bar with great vibesπ€ this glittery drink was meant to mimic aurora lights. Interesting creation but wasn't a fan of the mixture.
Both dessert and drink were named twilight. Price for both after gst: $30
The truffle dry ramen has been on my list of things to try forever but the prospect of facing a giant queue kept me away... We finally decided to give it a shot and the place was hopping but we didn't have to wait for a table... The noodles were served lukewarm but firm and redolent with truffle... Adding an egg was DEFINITELY the thing to do but the char siu was disappointing... Too tough and didn't complement the other flavors in the bowl...
Foreground: Hickory-smoked Salmon ($17) which had a heady charred aroma atop fragrant stir-fried forbidden grains and purple cabbage dressed with a ponzu-olive oil emulsion. Background: Unagi & Inaniwa Udon ($19) which was kinda like the Angel-hair version of udon topped with a piquantly-seasoned grilled eel. Definitely coming back for more ππΌππΌ #burpple
This is a really popular item at Nude that gets sold out fast, so go for early lunch to secure this.

The inaniwa udon are smooth and springy with a really nice al dente bite to it. If you notice, the vegetables tempura and grilled eel are resting on the udon and did not touch the gravy. This helps ensure the tempura remains crispy (without being oily), the eel well-seasoned, and the dashi stock having just the right consistency.
A very earthy and comforting soup to start our meal, this was a blend of mushroomsβfine enough to create a smooth soup, yet still full of meaty texture. Made with beef broth, this soup comes with a side of garden toast that was just as delicious on its own or dipped into the soup. Definitely try this is you visit. One bowl is just $8!

Worth a mention that we didn't wait long before our table of feast was being dished out from the kitchen. The super serving speed did not compromise on the taste of the food at all!πππ» .
If you're around the area for lunch today, they have a value-for-money lunch deal as well. π°ππ» 1 main course + 1 drink is going at $19.90 net! πππ
Ps: the portion is huge, good for sharing even!
π€€π€€ It's a western dish with a local twist. SO YUMMY! Definitely a must try when you're there, especially if you love your mee goreng. ππ .
Lunch time soon~ don't miss out @lighthousebistro's "1 main dish + 1 drink" value meal ($19.90 nett).
Thick, charred scallops, tender pork and puffy, sticky grains made for a delightful paella. π₯ Really wished for more (it's a really thin layer) but at that price, we weren't complaining. Great vibes and a chill atmosphere β perfect after a day of roaming Orchard.
