So far every burger from Wolf Burger that we had had been pretty tasty, without a doubt K-Pork Superstar ($9.90) as well! Bringing forth a Korean fusion with gochujang and kimchi cucumbers, along with 24 hours marinated and braised pork belly!! I love their sauce so much that I didn't leave a single drop behind. π

A cold acai base with fruits or nut butter - oh so perfect for the blazing morning/afternoon we had today. I am going to find some acai recipes and get me a blender now.
First try on an Acai Bowl and was recommended to have this variant that comes with a load of ingredients (Banana, Granola, Blueberries, Strawberries, Kiwi, Chia Seeds, Coconut Flakes, Bee Pollen, Cacao Nibs and Goji Berry). Quite a pleasant experience with all these healthy stuff and fruits that come with the bowl. For those unfamiliar with Acai, it tastes pretty much earthy yet with a berry-like tanginess which I found pretty acceptable and even good for a healthy dessert. Definitely something I would order on my own!
Pancakes with Filo pastry stuffed with banana and red bean paste. Exterior was crisp while the interior was a little soft and chewy, but the banana purΓ©e and red bean paste was wonderful. Both was smooth without feeling overpowered with sugar; the red bean paste was mildly sweet, having retained much of the bean's inherent earthiness within while the banana purΓ©e helps by adding in just the right amount of sweetness to the dish. Not really required, but good to share with a few friends for an after-meal dessert or just eat it all by yourself as a tea time treat. Or if you are like me, have it all to yourself after a bowl of Lu Rou Fan. ;)
Went to the nearest ice-cream parlour and tried a new flavour. Creamy and filled with tea aroma, the ice-cream is speckled with chunks of figs within for a juicy, plum-like crunch. If only I had a waffle to go along with this ...
Earl Grey Malt Loaf served with a scoop of Vanilla ice-cream and salted caramel drizzled on the plate. Cake was moist and dense with raisin-like bits within, perfumed with Earl grey aroma that was prominent in every bite that u take into the cake, while the outer crust of the cake is covered with sweet malt. Don't think the salted caramel was necessary though since its quite sweet, but definitely would appease the sweet tooth. You can also opt for the cake without the ice-cream at $5.50.
Was served this dish complimentary while being there to work on some school assignments. Quite an innovative take on sweet potato fries that actually worked quite well; crisp sweet potatoes that are naturally sweet and earthy that matches well with the umami flavour that Mentaiko is known for. My friend and I had meals prior to coming here, but we were enjoying it so much we just couldn't stop snacking on them that the mess tin was emptied in no time!
There are quite a few Teppei Syukudo outlets around, but only the ION outlet offers the flexible customizability of salad and rice and various sizes with a variety of options from fish, toppings and condiments. Originally at $15.80, the medium size comes with four different types of fish (went with salmon, tuna, baby scallops and yellow tail) while we added Mentaiko seasoning at $0.80. Quite a generous bowl with quality cuts of marinated fish which was pretty savoury with a umami touch by the seasoning. Each bowl comes with special sauce, ikura, wasabi, goma etc; a pretty good option to spoil yourself with if you are around Orchard.
Been going around looking for old-style Hainanese Pork Cutlets and glad to have found one here which comes with the iconic tomato-based sauce that makes it Hainanese. This is probably most value-for-money dish out of the three for you get two slabs of boneless pork that is fried to golden brown perfection; all crisp with the juices all locked within that slab of tender and easy-to-chew meat. Dip each slice of pork into the tomato-based dip to get that nostalgic, slightly sweet yet tangy flavour; missing of the freeze-packed corn, peas and carrots but still quite reminiscent in flavour. Of course, the fries are crisp and well-seasoned while the dressing for the salad on the side carries a hint of Berry flavour, just like the ones served with the Temasek Chicken Chop.
Alt. Pizza is perfect for when you and your colleagues are too lazy to think of a place that would please everyone. Who doesn't like a good thin-crust pizza? The fussy eaters in the group can DIY their own 11β pie, while everyone else should just dig into the Signatures. The foolproof Hangover ($17) with pepperoni, fennel sausage and roasted onions is a sure-win for meat lovers, while the Truffle Shuffle ($17) is perfect for you truffle lovers. There's even a fantastic option for the vegetarians in The Lean & Green ($15) β surprisingly moreish with its roasted garlic pesto base topped with feta and roasted squash. Order some lip-smacking Alt. Wings ($13; get the blue cheese sauce!) to share, and a couple of craft beers to kick back. Now that you're in a larger group, you can share those Pizza Doughnuts (YUP!) with Nutella dipping sauce with much less guilt ;) Best part is? This meal will hit the spot without burning pie-sized holes in your pockets.

However, just a short walk opposite Chomp Chomp is the Serangoon Gardens Way Food Centre that houses an excellent zi char stall. Helmed by the lady boss, Ah Yoke, who cooks all of the dishes all by herself, this is my second time and the food never disappoint. For this trip, we ordered the quintessential zi char dish, Prawn Paste Chicken Wing ($8), that truly defines a good zi char stall from a bad one. It was so wonderfully executed; crispy on the outside and having the umami flavour inside. The prawn paste was also not too pungent, making this dish suitable for everyone.
