It was a considerable amount of time I waited for the Pork Belly Confit (S$26.00) to be served, and the presentation was pretty and vibrant. Just look at the multiple colours represented by the various ingredients!
The crackling was a little thicker than expected, but it was also very crispy. Perhaps it was also thanks to the cooking method that there wasn’t really a layer of fat in between. Well, okay, I might be in denial, because the fat would appear on other parts of the plate.
Overall, this was a decent portion of Pork Belly Confit to me, because any more might make the dish too cloying. Thankfully, there was enough of acidity from the balsamic vinegar and the cherry tomatoes to balance the flavours.
The only food that instant lift up my mood when I see it; look is 100%; taste quite good, buttery taste; but felt a tad dry and sweet..
Al-dente pasta tossed in thick & flavorful squid ink sauce; with fresh mussels, prawn & salmon roe; simple yet with robust flavorful..
Meat is very tender and fell off the bone; well-marinated; on top of a bed of smooth mashed potatoes; crunchy french beans & carrot; love the sweet red wine sauce at the side..
Lots of corn, chopped carrot & onions in the sweet, sour & tangy tomato soup; flavorful & mild smoky taste; portion is quite generous too..
Get a feel of Alice In Wonderland. Nicely decorated restaurant. There are 2 weekend set lunch which priced at 26++ and 36++ respectively.
We tried the baby potato salad, Linguine Chilli Crab and coffee/tea from the 26++ menu. There is surprise in the potato salad as an onsen egg is hidden in it. The Chilli Crab Sauce is good but slightly too spicy for me.
We also tried the Foie Gras (+6), soup, Sakura Prawn Linguine and coffee/tea from the 36++ menu. Foie Gras is tender and delicious.
