Went to The Refinery for dinner with colleagues 2 weeks ago and had the Mentaiko Aburi Pasta ($24) along with other sharing items such as Cauliflower Fritters ($10), Refinery Wings ($12), Chicken Karaage ($13), Mentaiko Fries ($12)😇 The Mentaiko pasta was good but got a little gelat after awhile. The other sharing items were delicious😍

Overall ratings 9/10 as the ambience was good, staff were helpful and food was delicious!💯 Would definitely visit again!!

Came here for lunch. Ordered the Gyu Don v2.0 ($16), Yummy Tiger Prawn Pasta ($20) and Sweet Potato Caramel Latte ($6).

Gyu Don v2.0: Thinly Sliced USA Beef Shortplate cooked in Aromatic Reduction & Caramelized Onions, Tempura Onions, Japanese Pearl Rice, Onsen Lava Egg. Beef slices were well marinated and tender. Tempura onion on the other hand was disappointing. Soft and unseasoned.

Yummy Tiger Prawn Pasta: Linguine, Creamy Tom Yum Sauce, Tiger Prawns, Cherry Tomatoes, Kaffir Lime. The tomyum flavour was not bad. The prawns however do seem a little small and somehow I feel that using fresh prawns would be better for this dish.

The sweet potato caramel latte was excellent. Milky, creamy, sweet and delicious. Highly recommend getting this drink. Service was not bad. Servers were attentive enough to top up our water.

WHITE COFFEE: Strong brew coffee that is not acidic or bitter; not too milky..
REFINERY SUMMER HOT TEA: Blend of oolong and lavender; well-balanced oolong and lavender taste; surprisingly sweet tasting..

Cheesecake is soft & very smooth, not sweet; cheese taste is not strong, suitable for non-cheese lover; Earl Grey taste is very very mild, suitable for people who doesn't like Earl Grey; crumble base is slightly crunch & not dry..

Well-cooked rice topped with a variety of sashimi cubes (salmon, tuna, octopus, ikura); all the raw seafood are fresh & firm with no fishy taste; octopus is firm & crunchy; topped with fried wonton skins that add crunch to the dish; with seaweed, edamame & wasabi; soy sauce at the side not required as there's sauce in the rice bowl itself & slightly salty; good bowl of chirashi don..

Rice is well-cooked to soft & not mushy; generous portion of tender beef slices that is well-marinated, slightly salty but no beefy taste, even non-beef eater also eat; mushrooms are crunchy & juicy; truffle taste is strong yet not overpowering the taste of individual ingredients; love the addition of roasted garlic that add crunch & elevate the taste; yellow pickles aid in reducing the meatiness feel; with a well-cooked onsen egg; a must-try dish..
