Came armed with patience and even after 1pm on a weekday, the line snaked on for 40 minutes but once that steaming bowl of sliced fish bee hoon landed, it was all worth it.

The broth was clean and soul-warming, especially on a chilly day. Tender batang slices swam alongside a generous mountain of Chinese cabbage, soaking up all that comforting flavour. The golden egg floss (็‚ธ่›‹ไธ) added a savoury richness, while fried shallots brought that nostalgic hawker aroma.

Topped it off with fish roe prawn paste balls โ€” juicy, briny, and totally worth the add-on. Long wait, but this bowl delivers ใ€‹$5.50 + $2 Fish Roe Prawn Paste Ball (2 Pcs)

I didn know it came with fried egg floss so i top up an additional portion. I added fish roe which add up to $9. I love that they use chinese cabbage which is more sweet rather than random vege. The sliced fish was tender and portion was generous too. I was hoping the soup have more umami but it didn. The soup could have been more too but it might be bc i added more stuff. It is still a good bowl of fish soup.

Seem a couple reviews on the fish soup at an industrial area in Ubi - and it really lives up to all the glowing compliments given. Soup was flavourful and rich, but what blew me away was the freshness of the fish, alongside its silky, smooth and tender texture. The fried fish was pretty normal to me, so Iโ€™d rather go for wholly the sliced fish. Many reviews recommended adding the fried egg, which I donโ€™t usually like because of how it changes the taste profile and oiliness of the soup. But this wasnโ€™t too oily. Highly recommend to try but be prepared to queue - queue starts even before they open!

A hidden gem in the Ubi industrial area serving tender and flavourful fish soup. My order of sliced fish soup came with a generous amount of sliced fish and cabbage, topped with fried egg floss and shallots. The fish slices were fresh, bouncy and tender in texture, accompanied well by a sweet and flavourful broth made from fish bones and dried sole fish. I also added their fish roe and prawn paste balls to try. I like how the fish roe added a crunchy texture to it. Be prepared to queue for at least 30 minutes even when itโ€™s past lunch hour on a weekend ใ€‹$7.50 / Large + $1.50 (2pcs Fish Roe Prawn Paste Ball)

Very generous with the portion and most importantly, the soup is so tasty.. highly recommended

Back to my fav place for Fish Soup ๐Ÿ˜‹ their fish are fresh and bouncy.
