I can never decide what to eat for lunch, so when my friend suggested this pasta in a cup place she saw while at Republic Plaza, we decided to just try it out! Thankfully we did though cause it's really quite good! Big portions too. So how it works is you choose a size (regular for $9 or hefty for $13), type of pasta (fusilli or tagliatelle), sauce and a $1 add-on. Although there were quite a number of sauces listed on the menu, I think the CBD being a dead town during the festive season translated into them only having a certain few today. I was surprised that it's made fresh and their tagliatelle is the legit broad Italian type and the bolognese had big chunks of meat too. You see, I ordered the hefty because 1. I was hungry and 2. I can never trust food portions in Singapore. But I was struggling to finish it cause the portion was so huge but worth it!! The pasta to meat sauce ratio was great and I had enough meat to go with my pasta yums. I'm a big eater but I think regular (which my friend got) would suffice! The pasta was done al dente too, although towards the end they started to clump up together. Wish the sauce had a little more liquid but that's just my personal preference! I was also surprised that there was just one guy at the counter taking + preparing the orders. Not sure how he copes when it gets very crowded! Maybe during those periods he has help. Would def patronise this place again when I have cravings for pasta! It isn't spectacular but I associate pasta with comfort food and this is definitely comforting because it tastes homemade and I don't think it has those icky processed ingredients too. I hope this place works out and that they'll be able to keep going with the portion size!! Too often that places just disappear or shrink their portions drastically. #burpple #burpplesg #greedtakesoversg #stopoverpasta #republicplaza #rafflesplace #singaporecbd #whati8today #sgfood #sgfoodies #cbdlunch
