Operating for over a decade, this stall serves a more-than-decent rendition.
.
The thick gloop braising gravy carries savoury salty herbal sour spice flavour, which the chewy thick flat noodles with grainy sweet flavour pick up well.
.
The tender braised pork belly, bouncy braised chicken egg, springy fish cake, and crisp bean sprouts, lend meaty savoury salty herbal eggy sweet flavour.
.
The tender 5 spice roll has sweet savoury spice notes, though their rendition is different from elsewhere. The battered dory fish fillets are crunchy flaky with sweet savoury flavour, yum.

If you got the chance to be around here early in the morning, Seah Im Food Centre has a few food stalls that start selling from early morning.

Shi Ji Noodle Stall is one of them, selling duck noodle and lor mee.

For the small bowl of lor mee, it already came with generous amount of ingredients on top.

Totally a satisfying meal to begin the day with.

Yellow noodle comes with generous portion of tender duck served with herbal soup.
I will come back for this if Iā€™m nearby this area. šŸ’°$4.

While it does come with a generous amount of ngoh hiang, braised pork slices, fishcake, battered bits and half a braised egg, the sauce is only average in my books and no match for my favourite lor mee at Fu Chun in Eunos Crescent Market And Food Centre. Stick to the duck rice here at Seah Im instead.

As our Tastemakers soon realised, Seah Im Food Centre is full of budget-friendly gems. Take for instance this bowl of Braised Duck Kway Teow Noodles Soup ($3). Tastemaker Ice Blossom was blown away by the generous portion of tender duck meat topping the noodles, which come bathed in a comforting, herbal broth. This makes for an incredibly warming meal on cool, rainy days. You might want to take her lead and stir in some chilli for a bit of a kick! They also serve a pretty decent bowl of Lor Mee ($3), topped generously with a variety of ingredients that Tastemaker Casey Tan says often feature only as add-ons in other stalls.

Take the Lor Mee at Shi Ji Noodle Stall for example. For $3, you get a hearty bowl of lor mee that comes with a variety of ingredients, some of which you only find as additional add-ons in other stalls.

The gravy was thick, quite comforting but a little too starchy, to a point that i ended up picking out the ingredients. It also didnā€™t help that i just had a plate of vegetarian beehoon and a bowl of lu rou fan before thisā€¦ #burppleseahimfoodcentre
