Got a marathon chicken lunch set (exclusive to plaza sing’s branch) which consists of marathon chicken curry soup + rice + side (edamame) + drink! Tried level 5 (out of 30 HAHA) for curry soup and surprisingly could taste the spice alr! Unique curry soup - super savoury and filling, chicken was tender too
Really delicious and value for money! I tried once at the oue downtown and now at plaza singapura outlet
Came with ebi yasai kakiage and half an onsen egg. Got the baby bear spice level 3 and the Japanese soup base. I think it was the wrong choice, the broth did not taste like curry, just peppery. I’m not a big eater and the portion was smallish, even to me.
Unconvinced by this form of Japanese curry. That aside, lots of ingredients in that bowl. Interesting to dunk katsu and cheese in soup.
I'm glad that I found one at SAMA Curry at Plaza Singapura!
Their Hokkaido Impomochi Cheese sells at $6.90++ for 2 pieces - a little sad in portion, but I'll let that slide because it's really not a common find here (not that it was in Tokyo either actually LOL). Delicate and melty, this wasn't as impressionable as what I had in Tokyo, but it was really delicious nonetheless! If anything, this was way more memorable than the butadon, the signature dish of Tokachi Tontaro, which shares the restaurant space with SAMA Curry.
Cream Crab Croquettes. Good but not outstanding, short on crab flavour. $7 for a 2 piece serving seems steep, although the croquettes were quite large.
