Looking for light tasty lunch?
Japanese bowls are the best for that! Salmon samurai does a reliable bowl!
Alfresco dining.
A very stomach filling bowl. The fresh sashimi slices were topped with creamy Mentaiko mayo sauce and seared to its perfection. Salmon Poké was included in the bowl too with Yuzu Ume Rice mixed with greens salad, prawn roes, cashew, almond mix and yummy onsen Egg.
With such a variety of yummy protein flavours, Salmon Samurai is definitely a health-conscious choice for lunch over in CBD area and their bowls of salmon are reasonably priced too.
💰 / $14.90
One of my comfort food comes in a bowl of spicy salmon poke topped with ikura. Every piece of salmon was generously coated with spicy sauce - leaving every bite a satisfactory one.
This place has been on my list for the longest time and I hate myself for only trying it just recently! Because I have missed out so much?!
Mister went for the Aburi Garlic Salmon and Yuzu Ume Rice ($10.90); which apparently was the flavour of the month! I snatched a biteful and loved the aroma of the garlic 🧄
I went for the Mala Mentaiko Salmon and Chilled Citrus Ramen ($10.90) with a topping of prawn roe (+$1); love the combi of roe with the ramen, it was refreshing with the salmon. Couldn’t really taste much mala but the salmon was definitely fresh & sedap! 😍
Tbh, every item on the menu looks so good, absolutely a must return to try the others!!
Disappointing visit because I really wanted to like this place! The portion is small and the food lacked flavour. There was no sauce in the bowl, only soy sauce and wasabi for the salmon. Worse still, I had stomachache and diarrhoea afterwards. Sincerely do not recommend unless you have no choice :/
Portions are on the smaller side. This bowl is healthy alright - it's practically sauceless. Rice is dry. Broccoli is an add-on (+$1), without it, the bowl would be much emptier. Salmon is not bad but nothing to shout about. There are much more colourful and delicious poke/salmon options in the area. I ate here after work before rushing off to night class. I must say, only a subpar, depressing, expensive CBD meal like this one could have truly reflected that dreariness.
