Opened in June 2013 by the Red Ginger Group, this casual eatery is known for their delicious Malay-Peranakan dishes, and typically attracts queues during meal times.
.
Their rendition has springy rice vermicelli noodles, crisp garlic chives, crisp bean sprouts, spongy tofu puffs, and bouncy hard boiled chicken egg, with grainy vegetal herbal eggy sweet savoury flavour.
.
The gravy is thin and mellow, with mild savoury sweet zesty sour tangy spice flavour, with a slight kick from added lime juice.
.
The unique addition is otah, the tender soft spiced fish paste having a smoky savoury salty spice flavour.

Prices are on the high side, this plate was 10 bucks
Thankfully the portions are generous too
Beef rendang wasn't all that, it's somewhat tough and dry. However it still runs out early cos they're generous w portions
Satay was thick but cold alr, at 10plus no less. Peanut sauce was good
Rice was quite mild and fluffy, despite the colour
Sayur Lodeh was decent
Very well braised and very well balanced, the potatoes were soft and absorbed the gravy wonderfully
Stingray curry was good too, it's abit spicy tho
Was rather sweet, and the batter wasn't very good too. Quite average. Honestly idk what it is but I hope it's not ayam merah, ayam merah is usually much much more delicious
Bitterguord was abit undercooked
The pepper ckn tastes very, very unique. Can barely tell that's what it is. The portion is smaller than their drumstick tho, for the same price
Has a very strong lemon fragrance, more sweet than sour tho. There's actl chunks of lemon in the sauce
