Expensive but worth the price tho, the banana flavor is like punching in your faceš
I've been to sunshine plaza many times but what made me notice this place was the smell of butter pastry. I got myself a chicken pie to try and it was really delicious indeed! The butter was fragrant and there was a lot of filling in it. Sadly their curry puffs were sold out then, shall go back to try to get them one day! I heard their muffins are good too! š¤¤š¤¤
Besides the many printing shops and dim sum place that this place is known for, thereās actually several hidden gems thatās changing the landscape of this place. Recommended by @gladysng_27, thereās two pit stops that you have to make when here, one a little Japanese eatery and another a bakery wizardry. Located at the centre of the first level, they are located a few units away from each other and you will most probably miss it if you didnāt look closely as thereās no fanciful decoration both inside and out. However, if thereās one thing that you can rely on, itās definitely your sense of smell. My first stop is to Ichi Tei and there was no denying me from getting the Saba Set ($10), which was absolutely a steal and value-for-money set as you get a huge piece of grilled saba that has been spiced with shio, miso soup, Japanese rice and a side salad. The star of the show is undeniably the saba as it was grilled perfectly and with a squeeze of lemon, it elevated the dish and gives life to it, with the right balance of tangy and savoury while the meat cooked to the right texture. Next up, itās to Oven Marvel, which is a homemade bakery thatās so discreet that you wouldnāt know how popular they are. Specialising in only chicken pies, muffins and curry puffs, most stuff are baked to order and usually gets sold out very quickly. Based on the few minutes that I was there, there were several people who went in, got their pre-ordered items that are packed in boxes and left, which is a testament to their popularity. Even their countertop donāt have much bakes left on sale, however we were fortunately to sample their curry puff ($2.80), which was filled with generous portions of potato cubes and chicken meat, encased in a wonderful buttery pastry.

Their chocolate muffin is generously loaded with lotsa chocolate chips!! The muffin top is crusty and gives such decadence when you bite it off. It's almost like the edges of a crispy cookie. mhmmmmm~
Sink your bite deeper into the pastry and you'll find some molten chocolate chips giving it a lil gooey and rich flavour.
&Le boyfriend rated this as the Number 1. Chocolate Muffin in his heart.
$2.80 may seem alil steep but boy, it's so worth it cos of the chocolate spammm!
I think Iāve been living under a rock but I suppose itās never too late! Was introduced to this by my colleague and it was amazing!
The muffin cost $2.50 which was very value for money the moment I took my first pinch. Served freshly baked from the oven, the top half had a really good crisp to it but yet retained enough moisture on the inside. Not forgetting the bits of chocolate chip in it thatās melted š¤¤
Wasnāt as gelat as I thought it would be as well so it definitely lived up to the reputation and rave that my colleague built up prior to me trying it. Will def come back for more
This bakery shop at Sunshine Plaza sells wonderfully, delicious chicken pies, curry puffs and assorted types of Muffins!
Oven Marvel have recently moved to a bigger shop unit (just a few units away), so to locate the shop, simply follow the aroma of their freshly baked pastries. š„§
