Bread and pastries

Was back at @aliceboulangeriesg recently and had their Pain au Chocolat Noisette with Pomegranate Blueberry tea. The pastry was fragrant and buttery like their other pastries and there was rich hazelnut chocolate along with hazelnuts to give that extra crunch! I like how the tea selection here had non-caffeine options like the fruity one I had too 😋

Ordered @madubakerysg's Madu Bun Box Special on @pickupp.sg recently and it consists of 4 buns in Mentaiko, Umami Mushroom, Classic Garlic and Nori Truffle! The buns were fluffy as usual while stuffed with a lot of filling. It's my first time trying Nori Truffle and I enjoyed it with a strong fragrant truffle flavour though my favourite flavour is still Mentaiko hehe

Got bread from @bakersbenchbakery recently and forgot to take photos of all of them but this one. The Pepperoni, Cheese, Oregano & Hot Honey Flatbread was very enjoyable and I liked how it had a good mix of flavours and a lot of pepperoni and cheese. I had this toasted and it was even better with the sides crispy too! 😋

The black sesame croissant which was pretty good as well with a generous amount of black sesame flavour with the crisp croissant texture 😋

Got @keongsaikbakery's bakes on @pickupp.sg because I really want to try their new Miso Kouign Aman but had no time to head down. The combination of the sweet and savoury along with the buttery pastry made it unique and I enjoyed this because Kouign Aman in general can be overly sweet at times too.

Loving these buns from @madubakerysg! Got the Mentaiko bun and the garlic cheese buns this time and they're still so fluffy with a whole lot of filling in them 😋 They're a lot easier to get now without the few months waitlist so yay to more buns 😌

I liked brotherbird's original flavours as usual but I found the tea flavours lacking in the collab ones and it would have been nicer if there were stronger tea flavours in those croissants 😅

Have heard so much about @lalevainsg that I jumped at a chance to order it when I saw it on @pickupp.sg . The box contains Brown Sugar Kouign Amann with Himalayan Sea Salt, Burnt cheese Croissant, Speculoos Cruffin, French Butter Croissant, Hojicha Mochi Croissant , Pain Au Chocolat, I tried most of the items and enjoyed all of it! Generally the pastry textures were done well with crisp exteriors and buttery light interiors along with a generous portion of fillings. I especially liked the kouign aman and the pain au chocolat. They have many other items in their shop so I look forward to visit soon! 😋

I saw that @newdelibakes had unique flavoured pastries and decided to give them a try! The pastries were yummy indeed 😋 we had a Plain Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, Rosemary, Garlic & Smoked Cheddar Spiral, Tomato, Pesto & Cheddar Croissant and a Houjicha Kouign-amann. My favourite was the Rosemary, Garlic & Smoked Cheddar Spiral because it had a nice savoury flavour to it and it had a good amount of cheese too. The Tomato, Pesto & Cheddar Croissant was also one of my favourites as well with the umami flavours in it 😌

Dropped by @woodlandssd's pop up at @bunkerbunkersg to get their nut butter with honey toast because I've missed it a lot and it's still so good! I love how the nut butter was fragrant and slightly savoury in flavour while the honey provided the sweetness 😍

Had @aliceboulangeriesg's lychee raspberry croissant with lychee tea and loved both. I liked how there was a good balance of both the sweet and the tart flavours in the croissant along with how the tea was fragrant too. We also had the churros croissant which had cinnamon sugar on a chocolate croissant. I enjoyed this because it's a combination of all the flavours I like without being too sweet too! 😋
