I read other reviews and was very hopeful. To my dissatisfaction, this dish was too oily, the sauce used did nothing to bring out the flavors of the century egg or prawn.
I could not finish my meal.
I'm partial to coconut ice cream ^^. I like how this one tastes, it's got a refreshing subtle taste, not too overpowering ($4.80). The homemade kaya was light and went well with the ice cream and peanuts. Nice!
Weekday lunch set at $9.80 with a side and a drink. Satisfied my mee tai mak craving!
Heard some raving reviews about this mee tai mak, so we decided to try it out. The wok hei is quite prominent in this bowl and the taste is some what like char kway teow. In my opinion, it's very tasty, however for $9.80, its a bit pricey. Do go during lunch there is a lunch promo that gives a side and a drink at no additional cost.
Noticeable wok hei and century egg was pretty good. Rather savoury esp with the chunks of prawns, and the small amt of chili. Was it my imagination or is there a little bitterness?
Like the laksa, it's decent but lacks a punch. Luckily you can ask for extra sauce and they will happily oblige. Did i mention that their prawns are good? >
