O’Lava (S$6.90)

The staff would heat up the food after paying at the cashier. There’s tables available outside. Surprise that there’s lava flow in the moist cake even after it’s cooled down.

We read good things about the fish and chips. However, it turned out that the pork ribs and duck confit were better. The vibes, live music & service provided by the restaurant were great. We would highly recommend this restaurant to families and couples who wish to have a great time, especially if cocktails are your thing!

Word has been going around that there is a new KYŌ KOHEE outlet that has recently opened its doors. The brand has been pretty much noted to be one that is rooted to being located within the Central Business District throughout its lifetime — their very first being located in a shop unit situated at Robinson Road before they had opened another outlet in Asia Square. They have also pivoted their operations slightly when they had relocated to a bigger space at 112 Robinson; this is also the only location where KYŌ KOHEE serves up hot food. Their latest outlet is located in the ground floor of Labrador Towers; the new office tower that had recently seen quite a fair bit of tenants moving in during mid 2025 that is situated not too far away from Labrador Park MRT Station along the Circle Line.

KYŌ KOHEE’s location at Labrador Park occupies its own shop unit; not quite the same as being a kiosk that it operates out of as things are at their Asia Square location; this also means that the space does come with a dine-in space with a few seats tucked towards one side of the shop. The shop does exude some very minimalistic vibes with some contrast using earthy tones such as a dark green for its counter, while also features wooden furniture and fittings as well. Much like their Asia Square outlet, KYŌ KOHEE serves up only beverages with its menu segmented into categories such as Specialty Matcha, Tea Latte, Coffee, Matcha, Brewed Tea and Non-Caffeinated drinks.

Found ourselves going for the KYŌ Coffee which is listed in the Coffee section of the menu — the KYŌ Coffee is being described to come with elements such as a Signature Caramel, Espresso and Milk. It does seem that the beverage also does come with a frothy appearance over the top for a little bit more of an aesthetic appeal as well. The iced KYŌ Coffee does remind us a little bit of an in-between of Nanyang-style Kopi and espresso-based specialty coffee; there is that slightly smoky note and a slight sweetness where the Signature Caramel meets Espresso and Milk — the whole cuppa also being suitably sweet despite it being labelled as an item with Nutri-Grade rating D at 12% sugar on the menu. The KYŌ Coffee is also smooth; sufficiently caffeinated considering how it still falls under the category of a sweetened latte.

They have a variety of interesting cocktails worth trying, goes well with a simple burger!

They offer interesting cocktails at very reasonable price. I enjoyed the wagyu burger. Nice place, quiet with good ambience.

Steak was amazingly delicious, really juicy and tender. Awesome selection of cocktails, each having their own backstory! Overall a very pleasant experience at Hopscotch :)

I had an amazing experience at Hopscotch. The vibes were chill and the food definitely did not disappoint! The drinks were good & super unique. Definitely worth a visit

Their signature. I had to try if it's as good as Taiwan's. I'm happy to report it is. The pork was fatty and umami.
