Cannoli ($16)
Was crispy but wasn't really impressed - it could be because this is as good as cannoli can get, or it's just not my kind of dessert.
EVOO Cake ($16)
Extra Virgin Olive Oil cake which was pretty moist, and served with evoo gelato.
Fried baby artichokes were crispy, but tbh deep frying with batter would mean you don't get to taste the full flavours of artichoke sadly. Really miss the fried ones in Italy (not coated in batter).
Finally an octopus that's well-cooked! Had many disappointing ones previously at many other places, but this had pretty nice flavour and cooked just right.
The bread was well-toasted & crispy, and "smokey" from the burnt parts 🤭. Burrata was sadly not milky/ as creamy as expected, and didn't carry much flavour.
Marbling first got my attention, and it was indeed tender!
You do get lemon flavours for sure, but it was kinda one-dimensional after 1-2 mouthfuls.
Light seafood flavours, and slight chewy texture. Although it's apparently meant to be even bouncier but tbh haven't had enough orecchiette to compare so this was still a decent one for me.
Not sure if I knew what flavours this dish was going for as there weren't much flavours? There were mussels, pancetta, and black beans but didn't contribute much to the overall dish sooo :')
I quite liked the flavour of the pasta here, albeit a little salty. Beef was decently tender, and prob one of the dishes most of us enjoyed.
Essentially eggless pasta, and this dish was prob saved by the really crispy and flavourful pork cheek which I really loved!
Berry sauce was quite sour, but purposely made that way, so fans of sour food would love this!
NGL I'm not usually an apple pie fan, but this certainly won me over. Thin layers of sweet apple slices atop crispy tart crust, paired with really good vanilla gelato I actually couldn't get enough of it!
