date nights 🥰

used beyond for 1f1 mains, got the duck confit and australian rib eye (300g). both were pretty good in their own ways — found the puree for the duck to complement the dish really well, and the steak was perfectly medium rare paired with the signature beurre blanc. special shout-out to the unassuming plate of truffle fries that was only $6 (surprising for a place like this). loved the look and feel of the restaurant with cosy rounded sofa seats! will def come back

a pretty interesting take on chirashi with their signature chili crab sauce! was initially quite apprehensive to try raw fish with chili crab but it turned out well. soft shell crab was of decent size and fried to perfection, mentaiko was generous for the fries too. love the decor and vibes of the cafe, def worth checking out for a nice date! saw some pups outside, think they’re dog friendly 🐶

ordered the set for 2 comprising whole lobster, mayfair burger, lobster roll, drinks and dessert! added on the prawns and didn’t regret it. lobster was meaty and went well with the sauce. wasn’t the best lobster roll though as the bun was not crispy and buttery enough. service wise the part timers were super accommodating and helpful but i have to note that the door girls were pretty rude. the moment we got there they dismissively told us they had no tables left instead of asking if we had a reservation 🤣

get the mussels in white wine!!!! they were sensational and my favourite part of the meal 😍 ordered the recommended meat lovers (red-based) and flemekue (white-based) pizza, personally preferred the former! crust was very crispy and light but feel like i’ve tasted better. also tried the crayfish pasta in lobster sauce and angel hair truffle pasta, latter was pretty good! but can be quite jelak after awhile so it’s good for sharing as portion is big. overall good service, worth trying! rsvp before heading down

the barramundi with an assortment of seafood (squid, prawns, crayfish) was decent. the ambience was great with an alfresco concept and live soccer matches (pre-covid)! snagged a promo previously, will come back if there’s a good deal~

situated prominently in the middle of the heritage street with bars aplenty, this place really calls out to you. with funky decor and music, the vibes are amazing especially on the roof top! great for date nights or a girls night out 🥳 tried the recommended drinks and was pretty satisfied with the bar’s concoctions. not the cheapest but reasonable for the ambience, worth a visit! perhaps will come for the burgers next time round~

you won’t find this on the menu, just ask the waiters and it’ll be avail at a certain time every day 😉 the best take on indomee i’ve tasted, way better than the original even. truffle taste is so strong with a perfect onsen egg! though i found the bacon a little too salty for my liking. the alcoholic bubble tea is pretty refreshing too~ slightly pricey but nice place and recommended!

great-sized oysters with a buttery texture, one of the best! $2 a pop for half a dozen during their happy shucking hour with purchase of any alcoholic drink. too good i had to go for a second round 🤩

for $1++ a pop oysters are rather small as expected but the ambience and sights makes up for it 😊 situated 45 levels above, you get an amazing CBD view and you’ll feel like you’re dining in the clouds. one of the cheapest oysters you can find so definitely try if you’re on a budget! bigger oysters also available for a top up.

set lunch was reasonably priced with a half serving of lobster and scallops for starters. perfect place for dates or drinks during their happy hour with oysters at only $3++ a pop** service is great too! helmed by chef alysia tan, you can expect quality food at this well-known steakhouse. situated prominently in raffles place, the decor is absolutely stunning. check out their basement if you ever get a chance to 😉
