House made spaghetti with crab. The pasta is Al dente, the sauce was light and crab meat was sweet. Overall a pretty good choice of main.
Restaurant is smaller than I expected. Service was polite.
You can’t really go wrong with this if you love your raw scallops, tuna and ikura! Beautifully presented in a stack with an aburi egg yolk on top.
This is by far the best steak frites I’ve tried in SG. Steak is super tender and flavourful. Love it that they get the doneness right with such a thick fillet.
All steaks at Les Bouchons comes with free flow fries and a bowl of side salad. I’m on a diet and topped up a few dollars to change the fries to ratatouille instead.
This outlet at Rochester is far bigger than the others. We managed to get a table without reservations.
The dish is paired with mint sauce and baked eggplant parmigiana. Beautifully plated, the lamb is tender without any gamey taste. Will order again when I’m feeling generous 😁
Slow cooked for 12 hours till tender soft. Really delicious piece of meat.
I particularly enjoyed this tomato consommé with goat cheese and pan seared Hokkaido scallop. The scallop is fresh, plump and juicy. This dish is part of the wine pairing menu and it doesn’t seem to be available on its ala carte menu.
The wine menu overall is good if you want to experience a different way of enjoying Spanish food apart from the usual tapas.
It’s an outdoor Greek restaurant in Clarke Quay facing Riverside Point.
The dish that we absolutely enjoyed is the dips platter especially the taramasalata and tzatziki. The mains tasted alright, nothing outstanding.
Between the two of us we ordered the dips platter, Greek salad, calamari, Mediterranean seafood stew, the lamb rump steak and a Greek yogurt dessert to share. Bill came up to $165 after using Chope vouchers. Not forgetting we had two glasses of house wine too. Price wise is really value for money after using the voucher.
Not a place I will hurry back to but perhaps when I want happy hour with some pita and dips to start my night, this will be the place.
The pork chop here was juicy and tasty. Paired perfectly with the red wine sauce. It’s definitely worth going back for at this price point with amazing service staff.
Managed to squeeze in a meal before no dining in restriction sets in again. One of my favourite pasta from Da Paolo, tagliatelle al granchio. Homemade egg pasta mixed with crab meat, tomatoes, cream, parmigiano reggiano and a dash of vodka.
We tried the veal ravioli that were pretty tasty as well. Opted to sit outdoors and were lucky that it’s pretty breezy.
Thoroughly enjoyed Skirt’s grazing menu that comes with the following :
Freshly baked focaccia and sourdough
Amuse bousche of beef tartare
Starters consisting of,
Hummus,
Grilled pedron peppers and
Grilled crawfish
Palette cleanser : a shooter of apple + bourbon whiskey
Main course of a flat iron steak and grilled brocollini (we ordered extra mashed pots and lobster Mac n cheese)
Chocolate dessert
Portions were hearty and we left happy.
All round hit. Swiss fine dining in a beautiful setting.
Rosti with chicken ragout
Pork medallion with morel cream sauce
Chicken Cordon Bleu
Meringues with gruyere double cream and berry sauce
Blueberry tart
Every item is delicious with the pork medallion and meringues as stand out
Total bill for two with 4 glasses of wine came up to $224. Pretty good pricing for fine food and setting I would say.
Wonderful view on top of ION Orchard. This place specialises in Argentinian steaks.
We ordered the 1kg OP rib ($210) to share among 4 girls. Which is more than enough if you also ordered starters.
Taste of the steak itself wasn’t bad but also not spectacular either. There are better steaks around. Come for the view and ambience.
