Coffee Fix

Paid for the 𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙖𝙯𝙚𝙡𝙣𝙪𝙩 𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 (~$6.50) myself and jeeeeez this wAS so damn good: it’s silky and nutty — even the “I would rather take caffeine pills than drink coffee” bf drank half of this. Take ur caffeine pills. I’ll take the whole thing please 🥳☕️

𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙢𝙗𝙞𝙖 𝙑𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝘾𝙡𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙖(~$5.50) was surprisingly light yet creamy enough. Not a coffee expert, but this smooth vanilla coffee had enough coffee to balance out the milk — a ‘just right’ feeling. Subtle nutty undertones were spotted in this iced white before ending with a mild milk chocolate finish. ☕️

Supposedly, there was baked Apple flavour, but I didn’t taste that so 🤷🏻‍♀️

Ah, yes. The “percentage coffee” that leaves the coffee addicts divided between Team Arabica and Team (Don’t Waste your money).

I paid close to 10 bucks for this 𝘾𝙖𝙛𝙚 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 (~$8) with Oat Milk (~+$1) which honestly is kind of overpriced. I distinctly remember this being better, though. ☕️

The taste of coffee is unique for sure, and my choice of oat milk further underscoring that, but this was not worth 9 bucks 😫

Literally had the whole CB to make dalgona coffee but surprise! I didn’t, and instead came to get the 𝘿𝙖𝙡𝙜𝙤𝙣𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 (~$8) from Kreams. ☕️

Caramelised crunchy sugar formed a heaping mountain on top of the latte, sweetening something already sweet. It’s definitely a pleasant drink— but also sends “Prediabetes is a warning sign for diabetes” HPB advert sirens in my head 🤪

I remember disliking Chai Latte, but Toby’s 𝘾𝙝𝙖𝙞 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 (~$5.80) wasn’t over the top with the spice, inside coming in more comforting and complementary. Equally impressive was their 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 (~$4.90) which had a nice nutty finish against a light bodied milk base. ☕️

𝙄𝙘𝙚𝙙 𝘽𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 (~$9) went surprisingly well, though the shot of Baileys wasn’t the strongest against the coffee base. The coffee THOUGH. I loved the smoothness and richness of their blend, leaving a creamy nutty mouthfeel behind.☕️

I’ve had their 𝙍𝙤𝙗𝙤𝙊𝙣𝙚 (~$7.50 with pearls) before and was treated to a smooth and milky vanilla solution. Not quite sure if it went with Boba but it’s one of the better coffees around. 🥳

Their coffees are rather mild, and really low in acidity. Even their 𝘽𝙡𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 (~$6) lacked the acidic spike I was expecting. I suppose that was what they were going for, (it’s supposed to be easier on your stomach) but for me this cold brew just screamed ‘CONFUSED’.☕️

If I had to pick one, I’d go for the 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 (~$7). Not to say that I’d go for it if I had other options: bc it felt creamy, yet tasted diluted and really thin. Left me with a nutty aroma and also unmet expectations. Welp 🙃

Their 𝘼𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙙 𝘾𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙚 (~$8) had a headstrong almond milk start. It tapered off toward the end and like the white coffee, felt thinned out. 🥜🥜

Two of my fav things— matcha and coffee to make the 𝘿𝙞𝙧𝙩𝙮 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙘𝙝𝙖 𝙇𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙚 (~$7.50) 🍵

A complexity of flavours: the very slight sweetness from the milk, then transitioning to the richness of the matcha, before it leaves you with the bitter aftertaste of the espresso shot. ☕️

The matcha was clumpy at times, which I’m not horribly picky about, but it might not be for everyone. As with the cream of the milk — it was quite heavy for me and switching to oat milk may have been a better choice.

Caught these Bottled 𝙄𝙘𝙚 𝙒𝙝𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙨 (~$21 for 6 on sale) while they were on promo, so this was a STEAL. 😛

I must say it’s not the silkiest texture, coming off rather choppy at times compared to other brews I’ve had. Starting off light before crescendoing to a heightened strong flavour, the evidence of coffee here was pronounced toward the end.☕️

With bottled brew deliveries popping up everywhere at steep prices (I’ve seen $10 a bottle...) it’s hard to argue that Parallel’s aren’t competitively priced, which I feel is their main pull factor. 🥛
