What are the chances of seeing a muffin shop with two units at a hawker centre? They have matcha muffins, Almond Walnut, Double Chocolate to name a few. Aunty told me to call in advance for bulk orders so they can reserve. Your muffins get packed in a nice box if you buy 6pcs. Prices are around $1.60 per muffin.
Surprised to see this stall run by a young hawkerpreneur alone. One man show no kidding! Iāve visited some young hawkerpreneur stalls in the past and the stall ends up being tended by their parents/someone old. Jiaming (or Ming for short) graduated from Sunrice Academy in SG. Most of the item are priced at $5. He does pork rib noodle as well if youāre allergic to seafood.

This place came recommended by a friend staying in Tiong bahru. He said it's better than Loo's hainanese curry across the street. While I'm not sure which is better in terms of ingredients (it has been awhile), this is definitely cheaper than Loo's! Everything in the picture cost $10 for 2 pax. Missing an egg because I was hungry and ate it first. Curry here is also sweet š¤ Not my cuppa. But they are very generous with the portions compared to Scissors cut curry.
Nakhon has several outlets sprinkled around Singapore. I only patronize this outlet because it's the nearest to home. Reached around 6+ and it was full and there was a queue of over 15 pax before me. Total wait time from queue to arrival of food was about an hour. No reservations accepted. Definitely not for hangry people!
I always order the same dishes- grilled pork, honey chicken, green curry chicken, clear tomyum soup. Mains range between $6-8, more if you're ordering seafood. Not seen in pic is a bowl of rice and fried beehoon. They serve free flow lukewarm water if you do not feel like spending half a main dish worth ($3) on Thai ice tea.
Total damage was $33. Same price as the asahi tower from the restaurant across Nakhon. Lol.

This place is actually pretty underrated for such cheap and delicious food. The owners (couple in their 30s) used to operate a cafe but it was sold/closed down and they bought over this tze char business.
I come here pretty often but always end up ordering the same food. Their specialties are listed on a board beside the cashier. For me it has to be salted egg yolk something, grilled pork and soup. There is a Thai stall beside so you can cross order.
Works out to around $15-20 per pax depending on your group size/what you order.

Stall number 45 at Newton Circus. They used to sell wheatgrass beer and spirulina beer. Unfortunately I procrastinated visiting for so long that they've since stopped selling it :(
Now they carry more mainstream stuff like Erdinger, Asahi, Kronenburg, Carlsberg, Tiger etc.

This joint used to be at Bukit Panjang but has since relocated to the 5th floor of Sime Darby Centre (ToTT store). It's air conditioned now!
Food is served on banana leaves, very traditional. So much feels. Rice is free flow. They serve prata and other Indian food as well. Unfortunately they close early, at 10pm, making them supper unfriendly :(

Came here because their stall was awarded the Michelin bib gourmand. Did not feel like crabs or shellfish so we made do with a sambal stingray. There were lots of Korean tourists patronizing the stall too. Not sure what criteria they fulfilled for the award tho. The stingray tasted just like how a stingray should taste š

If you're used to being ripped off at Golden mile (me), then Siam Square mookata is dirt cheap in comparison. Plates start from $1.80 with seafood going at around $3-4 per plate. Buffet also available at $29 per pax. No GST or service charge. Chili is self serve and arranged according to spiciness. Spent $30.50 for 2 adults and 1 child.

Ordered a mutton biryani from their stall because they had a "Biryani Specialist" graphic on their signboard. Unfortunately the mutton was cold, like it was left outside for a really long time, and there was no papadum given. They open from 4am onwards.
