Italian Eats in KL

If you are ever in Hartamas and are craving for Italian food, Eatalia is the place to go to. Granted, they do not always have the freshest ingredients but for a neighbourhood diner with affordable price tags (Approx 20 - 30 per dish), they have a pretty extensive menu to curb your Italian cravings.

Favola will always be one of my favourite places to go for Italian food in KL. Their dishes are always beautifully presented and of excellent quality. Highly recommend their gnocchi al funghi and the porcini mushroom risotto with foei gras.

Luce is one of the most under-rated restaurants in KL. It is helmed by the same team behind Zen Zero, so you know this is a place to go to for fresh, authentic Italian food. I've only been here once, but i was absolutely impressed by their wide selection of pizzas and they have different types of crusts available too. You just know that the chef takes his pizzas seriously! Oh and their cabonara is cooked the traditional way and is one of the best that i've ever tasted in KL. Definitely worth checking out if you haven't already. Tip: Their second floor ambiance is much nicer than the first floor - and it's more spacious too.

The white-washed, minimalist setting at Mario & Luigi is basically interior goals. It is one of the restaurants that i would always recommend whenever friends ask me for suggestions for cozy date night spots. You can always count on Mario & Luigi for a good plate of freshly made pasta. My favourites are their basil pesto pappardelle and tagliatelle with truffle butter - So simple, yet so yummilicious!

Zenzero is one of the lunch spots that I often frequent for meetings and I have never been dissapointed. They have a pretty affordable RM30 lunch set menu and their service is always top-notch. Their panna cotta is the one dessert that I will always order - Definitely one of the best in town!

It's a fairly small two-storey space but it's simple decor and floor-to-ceiling wine shelf simply add to its charm. I had the truffle & tallegio pizza and the spicy 'nudkja sausage pizza. Both pizzas (Approx. RM 35 each) were wood-fired to perfection, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Service was however not as friendly as I would have hoped for. Tip: Opt to seat on the first floor if you could, to avoid being neglected by the service staff.
