The crab bowl was what made me want to order this when I looking at the menu. It coincides with my love for seafood too so I know I had to, furthermore with the chefs hat as recommended main (I’m totally new to this bistro).
Mussels, crab meat, and sotong in it which I figured the ingredients ratio to spaghetti can be increased to strike a better balance 🦀Spaghetti al dente but it doesn’t seem to absorb the flavour from the broth so its quite a pity. Another downside is the strips of ginger in it which I happen to chew on it by accident because it was finely cut and sticks to the spaghetti.
I would prefer it without the strong taste of ginger in it because it steals the spotlight away from the rich seafood broth. Still worth a try, and if you’re fine with ginger. Great effort in the presentation though!
Choice of chicken breast or thigh, opted for thigh this time. Chicken meat wasn’t the most tender, a little hard to dish out because of the bones intact too. However price is really reasonable and overall taste is acceptable if you are looking to have a quick meal! Includes 2 sides so I chose mac and cheese, and onion rings. Meal comes with a muffin, an unexpected hearty meal for me.
Top up $1 to make it a meal - for a drink and mushroom soup to me is really worth it given that the soup is of quality.
Great discovery over here for their lunch promo which includes ala carte Pastas, Burger Sandwiches & Grilled Mains from 11am to 3pm
I had the Tenderloin in medium rare, it was a little too done but still juicy and not too tough 🥩
Topped up $2 just for the onion rings and thats when I was surprised! They were pieces of fried onion rings instead of the frozen factory made ones, crunchy and satisfying. One of the reasons why I would go back for their food because its so good!
This place is gorgeous to have your meals at! Service great and its not very rowdy even when its almost full house.
Opted for their 2 course lunch, there’s 3 course option too which includes dessert. I had minestrone soup with Barramundi as my main and a bottle of Sancere to go with 🍷 . Both tasted better than average and I’m looking forward to exploring more of their menu. Sancere is medium bodied and medium acidity which I’m happy with!
Lunch menu varies day to day, from 11.30am to 3pm!
My go-to whenever I’m here, portion is good enough to fill my tummy and not feeling like I’m stuffed to the brim. Perfectly grilled, with carrot, fine beans and mustard cream sauce. Having crisp skin, yet still retaining the moisture is the most ideal when it comes to grilled salmon. I love dipping the salmon and potatoes in the mustard cream sauce too, elevating the taste, making it a little addictive.
Price is reasonable for a restaurant in a hotel and the service and ambience is always good thus far!
Good place for some chill drinks, all day long promotion for Martinis and Champagne Martini.
My fav is Watermelon Martini 🍸, refreshing with a hint of sweetness before the alcohol hits. I realised the best timing to go would be in the day, come night time it might be a little more rowdy.
Mini beef burgers and Four Cheese Pizza are recommended if you want some bites
Pasta sets are mostly under $10, which comes w nuggets as a side and the best part, drinks are free flow. Portion is just right to fill my tummy and service wasn't bad. Food is decent and value-for-money, would recommend this place for a no frills meal. Pizza sets are available too.
Pork and honey sausages, served over creamy mashed potato, onion and red wine sauce. The creamy mash tasted better and was more special than the sausages itself. I would say just order a side of the creamy mashed and go for other mains.
Coated and fried, flavor was sealed. It was quite thin and soft which made it enjoyable. This also comes with a side of curry coleslaw.
Grilled steak, chicken and shrimp was my chosen 3 for this fajita trio. It comes in a sizzling hot plate, the aroma opens up my appetite as the waiter was approaching. It is to be eaten like a wrap with the flour tortillas and sauces that comes along with it, but my personal preference is to have it just like that as a side to my main.
A list of options available to select 3 starters from, here are Boneless Buffalo Wings, Craft Burger Bites and Southwestern Eggrolls. Wings were really sour, so I would not suggest choosing this option. The burger bites and southwestern eggrolls were better than average, with the burger having juicy tender meat and the eggrolls is kind of addictive.
Packed with beans, queso, seasoned beef and cheese, these chips tastes so good I would recommend it. Also the crispiness lasts up to a good few hours if you are having it as takeaway.
