Everything With Bread
$16. Toasted English muffin, ham, poached eggs with Champagne hollandaise. The eggs are cooked perfectly, with oozy egg yolk. little details like the edible flowers that contrast the colours of the hollandaise sauce, adding that little bit of magic to the presentation. If you’re not keen on ham, there’s always the Eggs Florentine with spinach instead.
I was never a fan of cookies till I met Ben! You don't get that strong over empowering smell like famous amos which was always a turn off for me. Now I do appreciate what Ben has brought a new culture to Singapore. Giving us the freshest cookies and you won't get to know how it's like till you tasted it. And they have many unique flavors you can try too! Every cookies are going @ $2.95, the more cookies you get, the cheaper it will get 😄
Over at MEDZS Bistro & Bar, it cost $19.90 that is served with nachos and greens. I totally love how the foie gras is prepared, juicy and soft. It goes really well with the chunky beef patty and sauce.
I was torn between the Chicken Rendang and Eggs Royale but in the end, the latter's "Recommended" tag in the menu swayed me.
Instead of the typical English muffin/brioche base, their eggs were served on Turkish bread which worked nicely too. Hollandaise sauce was very slightly sweet, flavourful and not overly creamy. As for the salad, they dressed it up with the ever-popular Japanese sesame sauce.
My verdict: Although decent, it's rather pricey at $20. What's worth noting though is that it's available from 8.30am daily. So those with early morning cravings for Eggs Ben now have a place to go.
Thick toast with fluffy interior and crusty exterior. Adequate amount of butter and kaya smothered atop as well.
Famous for their swissrolls, I'm proud to say they've withstood the test of time and still taste as good as what I had when I was a child. It sure brings back memories. $8 per roll.... Worth every penny and best part was there's no queue he he
Light and fluffy cake! Need to try their strawberry shortcake. 🍰🍓
The waffles had a hint of vanilla in it, and it was truly one to try! :) the burgers were good as well, the patty portions were pretty big for the waffles. Certainly a hidden gem!
Ok, before you judge the deformed poached egg, the focus is on the lovely red spread on the toast! Baker & Cook sells some spreads, and I really like the smoked pepper one. It's smoky, savoury and tangy. I like eating it on toast with an egg with an oozy yolk 😋 There are samples provided at the counter for you to try.
Topped with maple syrup, this french toast goes well with peanut butter as well. A must try!
Rouse is a rather new cafe, and it's one of those hipster cafes to visit! It's a halal friendly cafe as well, with their owners being muslims themselves, so bring your muslim friends along! I loved that the chocolate cake is so thick and the flavour is so delightful.
The Daily Scoop sells mainly ice cream but alongside with the waffles, it's such a treat to enjoy in the hot weather. Waffles are just awesome bread, isn't it? The air-conditioned place allows patrons to enjoy the cooling ice cream waffles as well.
