There are 3 popular wanton mee stalls here at bukit merah view.
All 3 stalls have snaking queues on a sundY breakfast.
Kim Huat WTM is one of these popular stalls.
Noodles were springy, char siew was flavourful and tender. And the chilli "dip" was damn shiok and flavourful
While this was picture perfect - it was a little too sweet overall . Both the sauce from the char siew and the brown sauce used on the noodles.
Reminds me of eating bah Kwa π€£.
It wasnβt bad but I prefer a savoury version of wanton mee .
At just $3, this is a good plate of wanton mee thatβs good value and pretty delicious! Will start with the wanton which are plump and meaty. The mee kia are the only noodles sold here, and are springy which blends well with the chilli sauce. Char siew while is pretty average and on the lean side, complements perfectly too.
Price: $3 onwards

Chef Yohhei Sasaki is making himself known for the wonderful changes heβs done in this small but popular Italian restaurant in the heart of Orchard Road. Though my tasting menu was to be Japanese it was actually the use of Japanese ingredients in Italian dishes. Overall experience - Super yummy.
Really value for money. At $2.50/$3 per dish you get nice QQ mee, meaty wantons and char siew. Tasty too.
Never enough. Never enough. Never Never. Never for me.πΆπ€

Speaking for myself, I enjoy local hawker food. Lunch to me is a simple affair... unless I am dining with friends. I am satisfied with a plate of wanton mee. Like this plate, many flavors of salty, slightly oily and spicy bursting in the mouth. Minimalistic. No fancy mancy plating. Infact, honestly, I think this wanton mee just looks igworthy and droolworthy.
