Kakatoo Cafe serve plenty of local dishes. Their sweet & sour chicken rice (RM14.90) with crispy texture of chicken, sauce is just good, an eggs over easy, some keropok, and a little bit of salad. In terms of texture, it's not like the usual sweet and sour chicken that you can eat out there. Not really like the texture but in terms of portion, surely they feel the customers well.
Kakatoo cafe is the nyonya and western fusion that nestled in Ativo Plaza, Bandar Sri Damansara. The tasting Platter (RM40.90), a good choice for an appetizer that can be share with a big group, served with some local side dishes such as otak otak (spicy), curry samosa, satay chicken, chicken lobak, fried tofu and kerabu mango. Otak otak is a little bit too spicy for me, but in terms of texture, it's more like fried tofu to me. Curry samosa is my favorite. Crispy on the outside, plus the sweetness of the curry actually makes me want to eat more. Their satay chicken is not oily like you can eat at the stall out there, but I'm still prefer those grill with charcoal. Chicken lobak is exactly taste like what we have during Chinese wedding. Although it always full house during lunch hour or dinner time, the restaurant have provide plenty of seats.
