Died a thousand times having this. The chicken was crispy, the cream sauce was not overwhelming and paired together with rice = ooomph !
A dish I would have over and over and over again.
They have a lot more on the menu including alcohol free “cocktails” but the best dish here would be the Salted Egg Butter Chicken rice.
My all-time favourite butterchicken pasta!! It tastes better when it’s spicy so ask for extra spicy!
(Rating: 4/5🌟) Salted egg butter combo (rm29.90) This includes the salted egg butter chicken, prawns and squid. I actually prefer the butter chicken because the seafood wasn’t that fresh. It tastes differently from your creamy butter chicken as there’s some spiciness to it! Sinful but tastes really good 😉
Finding this place can be quite tricky. You'll have to, first, find SS15's Sangkaya then look for the door inside the shop itself to get into this shady kind of place. Jibril itself looks like a lounge instead of a restaurant. Despite it's shady looks, they don't serve alcohol at all!
Jibril is famous for their salted egg butter cause chicken (RM14.90). The chicken chunks is fried with salted egg yolk with a side of creamy butter sauce with some chili padi cuts. My meal was terrific. When most of places I went make their salted egg yolk sauce sweet, Jibril make theirs savory and salty, perfect to be eaten with rice. To finish the meal even more perfect have their sweet and creamy non-alcoholic butterbeer mixed with ice cream called Potter (RM7.90).
A reminder for future dining experience that Jibril allows indoor smoking.
I seriously think they used Ikea's beef meatballs for this dish. The only difference is that the meatballs are more moist here as compared to ikea but the taste is very similar!
Love the sauce they use here. The salted egg blended really well with the butter and chili padi. The chicken was fried very well so the skin is really crispy. Finally found a good place to eat this. It is located behind Sangkaya in ss15. The door is disguised as part of Sangkaya's wall but it is easily distinguishable.
