Really love the way the chefs cooked our self selected beef for us. They can be found in the supermarket of Isetan Japan Store in Lot 10 at the lowest floor. Patrons can choose their own beef from the supermarket and get the chef to cooked it for them. There are other items as well such as air flown sashimi and other Japanese dishes.
Really good Korean fried chicken. The sauce was appetising and the chicken was really crispy. They have boneless options too for those that are lazy to debone their chicken. Price is on the pricier side though.
Half chicken at RM35
Whole chicken at RM55
Read through reviews that this dish was good before I went to Mei. However, I didn't find anything special about it. Don't get me wrong, it tasted good but personally I found it over hyped. The portion was pretty small as well. Perfect for small eaters and maybe health conscious people that want to eat moderately but it was definitely not enough for me.
Love the sauce they use here. The salted egg blended really well with the butter and chili padi. The chicken was fried very well so the skin is really crispy. Finally found a good place to eat this. It is located behind Sangkaya in ss15. The door is disguised as part of Sangkaya's wall but it is easily distinguishable.
Fried chicken. Overall the chicken is good but it is on par as with other fried chicken from other Japanese restaurants. It makes a nice side dish to accompany the udon as some are quite plain but it is not something to shout about (though some of the reviewers on foursquare might disagree). Rm3 for 3 pieces.
Basically its mixed vegetable tempura. Really good stuff and it is visually appealing too. Every table had at least one plate so it's a no brainer that it's good. Rm3 for 3 pieces.
First time trying cold udon and I am sold. The egg and the light sauce really blend well to give a really refreshing dish which is a complete opposite to the usual hot udon in soup you get in other Japanese restaurants. The shop is pretty small so you might want to avoid the lunch crowd. Rm6
I like the fact that they were pretty generous with the unagi. The unagi were well marinated and overall I find the dish pretty good.
Very nicely grilled squid. It was chewy but yet soft enough for you to eat without having to chew forever. If you are one to prefer your grilled squid doused with seasoning or sauce then this would be too bland. But if you like your squid to taste true to its original taste then I would recommend to get this.
Love the fresh raw seafood together with the rice. The set also comes with chawanmushi, fruits, miso soup and a side dish consisting of jellyfish and bell peppers.
Really love this radish cake. Crunchy on the outside but soft and moist on the inside. The prawns were fresh and sweet as well. Even the father whom would usually nag us for getting pasar malam/hawker food at premium prices gave a nod of approval.
Love this very much. Fresh seafood and the rice is well flavored with vinegar. More strongly than most of the rice served by Japanese restaurants. It might not be a fav to people who prefers plain rice.
