Apple crumble (~12) was neither here Nor there, felt like something I could go without. Wasn’t cheap either. The caramel sauce on the crumble was way too overpowering and definitely outshone the Apple taste. Apple chunks were a nice crunch to have but something felt off about this, can’t put my finger on it.
However the crumble itself was really yummy and the texture was great!
6.5/10
Umami prawn pasta (~20), came with 5 prawns and a very generous serving of tobikko! Tobikko was really good but pasta was lacking a strong umami taste, tasted a lil bland at times.
However extremely disappointed in the service. Wanted to go to the second floor ( bc we were seated on the same table as a really noisy group of people ) but staff told us it was reserved. Yet when another group came in, they managed to get the table on the second floor.... so clearly there’s some dishonesty going on..........
The chili crab pasta came with a thick chili crab sauce and deep fried cubes of mantou which were rly crispy and not oily.
The linguine was not overcooked THANK GOD and it came with decent chunks of crabmeat but the sauce was abit too spicy for my liking that it slightly overpowered the whole dish. Unless you’re into a spicy pasta go for the other 2 pastas available on the menu (the mushroom one is 😛😛)
also on thursdays they have 1 for 1 pasta deals!!
Charming place for a quiet weekend afternoon. Strong bitter ice ameriano. Homemade apple crumble with vanilla ice cream that is worth trying. Crumble is fresh and crunchy, with sour apple chunks that still have a bite in them. Drizzled with some warm caramel, it blends well with the cold vanilla ice cream.
Angus Tenderloin ($36) - Tender beef fillet with red wine jus, truffle scented mash. Crispy Fries ($9) - With parsley and parmesan cheese. Homemade Apple Crumble ($12) - With a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
BEEF TENDERLOIN PASTA
Was a little skeptical about ordering this dish as I would hate it if my beef chunks were too tough and hard for chewing. However, i could select the doneness of the beef tenderloin chunks. I had it medium rare and it was tender and juicy.
Pretty good serving size for a starving me; had quite a few chunks of beef and a good portion of pasta. I gobbled up the garlic tossed angel hair pasta.
Though i was expecting a less “sauce-y” pasta, it was still good with all the garlic-tossed sauce infused with the pasta. Overall, a very satisfying meal, with good meat and pasta.
