๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿœ Big Bowl Curry Mee for lunch. Alot of ingredients in this! Mix bee hoon and yellow noodles, with chicken, brinjal, long beans, roast pork, cockles, fried bean curd skin, tau pok, bean sprouts and meatball. The curry gravy wasn't too spicy, just nice.

If you think the serving size looks small, that's because it IS! This originally came with prawns but I requested that they left the prawns out. Despite the small serving, the food was really quite delicious! Too bad i finished it in record time... #sgeats #sgfoodie #sgfoodies #sgfoodlover #burpple

Definitely the wet version of fried kway teow, which is a variation of sinful comfort food. It has shrimp, chinese sausage, beansprouts and cockles! The kway teow are smooth and thoroughly coated with special black sauce and eggs.

Atย Lou Yau, the chicken is boiled over gentle heat to ensure that the meat stays tender. Right after it exits the boiling pot, the chicken is submerged in an ice bath, which seals the moisture in the chicken, and gives the skin a glossy sheen.

Are you already thinking of what to have for lunch? How about teleporting yourself to the East for some Malaysian food from Lou Yau?
๐Ÿœ
Lou Yau offers a variety of Malaysian dishes and this was Penang Assam Laksa $7.50. The assam broth was thick, slight tangy but full of flavor. If you like your laksa more sourish like me, squeeze in the lime to get more zest! The portion of fish meat was quite generous too so you can consider to have this for lunch later.

Thank you @ipohlouyau for hosting and Roy @eatwithroy for extending the invite.

And it feels even more authentic and local with the rare addition of 'hum' (cockles). ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜
