- Curry Chicken Lunch Set (includes a drink)🥘
Decent curry chicken, creamy coconut taste but not overpowering (can still taste the herbs and spices), mild spiciness... if only it could be spicier, I think it will be perfect~
The curry chicken (chicken leg quarter) was quite big, it’s tender and juicy, the potato was also well braised with the curry (入味), quite happy with the portion & quality.
As for the blue pea coloured rice, it taste like normal white rice, but like instagrammable...=X
Overall, a lunch set for this price at CBD area, consider okay. You may try this if you are in the vicinity, just that there are better curry chicken out there, not exactly worth the travel...
Damage: $8.80
Standard order of mine whenever I am there. Laksa doesn't fail. 3 pieces of prawn, thick gravy like sauce that is not too milky, and half an egg.
Quick fix for lunch. However it gets very crowded from 12-1pm.
Pretty good, the savoury glutinous rice is served with a small portion of sweet rice at the side.
with a choice of coffee or tea. Only available on Thursday morning, usually sold out by 10:30am.
Rainbow lapis, chendol kueh breathes novelty yet do not lose the traditional touch. The lemper udang is very spicy and too oily for me though.
I strongly recommend the chicken curry set ($8.50) which comes with choice of lemon tea or calamansi lime juice, and a mini kueh. The curry chicken uses a thick rempah paste with smooth rich coconut milk. I like the rempah bits that enhances the overall taste.
