An outstanding bowl of pho from a Viet hawker. Everything was on point, from the meat to the soup to the garnish. The beef has different cuts.
Craving something warm and comforting after a tough HIIT session, I headed over to Joo Chiat Chiap Kee for their fishball noodles.
The mee tai bak, tossed in chilli and crispy lard, packed a rich, spicy punch that was seriously addictive. Simple yet satisfying, every bite hit the spot. The soup was clean and light, with fresh handmade yellowtail fishballs, a meatball, and herh keow (fish dumpling).
Weekends can mean long queues, but it’s absolutely worth the wait. Compared to the Bedok 538 market outlet, this one just hits differently—the flavour and texture here just feel more on point. A comforting bowl that never lets me down 》$4
No complaints taste-wise. Quite small plate.
Trash. It's so diluted.
Wonderful dinner at One Prawn & Co.
Overall service staff was attentive with classy ambiance.
Started with Ankimo mousse with love letters, presented with wonderful contrast between crunchy love letters and buttery smooth mousse.
Next was Hamachi Crudo. Light and refreshing, with a nice balance of tanginess from Kimchi.
Main course was dry aged Kingfish collar. Cooked in wood fired oven, slathered with rich soy based sauce. Served with perilla leaves, blanched garlic slices, smoked daikon slices and pickled chillies. All to be wrapped up Korean style using lettuce before being consumed. Fish was smoky, tender and moist in the middle, all the accountremonts in the wrap makes a nice balance of flavours all around.
Visited One Prawn & Co. for dinner date with my love.
The food was splendid and the ambiance was prefect for our special night.
We started off with love letter filled with Ankimo Mousse and Hamachi Crudo & kimchi. Nice contrasting texture and balanced taste. The Prawn & Aioli was my favorite appetizer, the prawn was super juicy and the toast below was crispy, crunchy and delicious.
We were surprised by the big portion (definitely enough for 3-4 people to share) of Kingfish Head and how innovative it was presented. Chef recommended us to have it ssam (wrap the ingredients in lettuce with condiments). Fun and tasty.
Sweet night ended with sweet dessert of smoked ice cream and coffee tuile will never go wrong.
OPC is full of surprises and will definitely return to try other dishes.
Auntie Peng's banana pie at Katong Mall is a must-try!
For just $3.30 a slice, you get this amazing crispy crust with a nutty umami flavour and the perfect soft banana texture.
It’s absolutely best when it’s fresh out of the oven – totally delicious!
Had a lovely dinner at Meadesmoore! We tried three different steak cuts—each one was incredibly tender and full of flavor. You could really taste the quality. The burrata with fresh tomatoes was super refreshing and paired so well with everything else.
We also had a roasted saffron cauliflower side that was unexpectedly delicious—it added a nice pop of flavor to the meal. Ended things on a sweet note with a pavlova-style dessert that was light and just sweet enough.
Service was great, and the cozy atmosphere made it a really enjoyable night. Definitely planning to come back!
One of the better orh luaks I’ve had in a while! The oyster omelette nails the smoky wok hei. The oysters were relatively huge, fresh, and plump, which made each bite juicy and rich. Loved the contrast between the crispy edges of the egg and the gooey, chewy starch batter. The chilli was tangy with a nice kick, cutting through the richness perfectly. Definitely worth the wait 》$5
Ingleside delivers a great modern European experience with a focus on wood fire cooking and fermentation. Service was excellent—we were welcomed with wet towels and a super helpful waiter who explained their techniques in detail.
We started with the Hokkaido scallops, cured in kombu with pickled green apple, finger lime, herb oil, and a fermented tomato dressing. Super fresh, bright, and well-balanced.
For mains, we had the Tajima MBS 6-7 Wagyu Picanha, marinated in shio koji and grilled over wood fire. It came with a slow-roasted banana shallot that added a nice earthy depth. The beef was tender, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly.
Ingleside is a great pick if you’re into bold, thoughtful food with smoky, fermented touches. Definitely worth checking out.
