It’s hard to get grilled octopus right and @focpimpam achieves that.

One of my favourite tapas at FOC is the Octopus Galician-Style ‘A feira’ (S$28++) which is a popular dish in Spain. The octopus has good bite without being too chewy. The octopus is doused in oil, sprinkled with pimentón and rests atop a fluffy bed of crushed potatoes. It’s too easy to wipe this dish clean.

This iberico pork was cooked to perfection. Each slice was juicy and tender, and flavoured just lightly enough so that we could taste the sweetness of the pork itself. It was paired with a small portion of mash and red peppers. Such a great set lunch - we will be back!

Such a great main on their set lunch menu. The beef was so tender and soft, and the sauce was rich and flavourful. Probably one of the best beef cheeks I’ve had in Singapore at a wallet-friendly price.

Having just returned from Barcelona about a month ago, I had my fill of Spanish tapas, including delicious iberico and croquettes there. However, the mushroom croquettes here were really good, and exceeded my expectations. These two (chorizo iberico on toast & mushroom croquettes) were our chosen starters for their weekday set lunch.

48 month aged Iberico ham was everything it lived up to be. Savory, fatty, melt in your mouth, I could easily finish a portion of this on my own. TIP: order the bread with tomatoes and have this together with the crispy bread, fresh and slightly acidic tomatoes and it’s enough to make you happy.

This paella was very flavorful but a little bit towards the salty spectrum of food and could do with a little less seasoning. The rice was really nicely cooked to an al dente texture but I was left yearning for more of the soccarat (the burnt bits at the bottom) which it didn’t have much of. The pork was tender but the mushrooms seemed to get lost in all the flavor of the paella.
