Perhaps with some different flavours, try a Kampong Chicken or Balinese Pork Ribs which are just as great and apt for the season.
We loved that the juicy and tender chicken we wanted just got better with a Kicap Manis sauce, totally Asian and tasty. And the Sambal Belacan chilli with it was a big hit on the right note.
Their St Louis pork ribs were also elevated with the Indonesian BBQ glaze, dark and intense flavours on those meat that readily fell-off-the-bones.
With an Asian twist, these were pretty enjoyable dishes that would be recommended for a festive meal.
We had pork ribs, roasted eggplant with prawns and pasta with sakura ebi and bonito flakes.
This place reminded me of how western countries (tend to) do asian food - street food with strong flavours. Which also means there's little not to like. Definitely didnt expect to find Naughty Nuri's like pork ribs there! It also has all day happy hour - so really nothing to not like!
Very thick. Featured all of bubur cha cha's ingredients. So it's probably bubur cha cha.
This is more a drinking place with food, rather than a proper dining restaurant: lots of drink options, casual (and very friendly) service and décor, where passers-by strolling on the pavement can see what you consume, etc. But don’t underestimate the food - it’s much more than bar food. Lots of yummy, innovative dishes. So delish that if you’re not careful, you can easily put on more than 1,500 calories by the end of the meal.
nice ambience and great service. Do try the whole seabass here! The fish is fresh with lots of sauce to go with. Would give the chicken pop a miss, was supposed to be like har qiong gai but just tasted very salty.
Eggplant $12
Chicken pop $12
Baby squid $15
Pork rib $32
Whole seabass $55
We ordered this dish during dinner time. So good! Springy noodles laced with a build up spiciness stirred in with gooey yolk, the achar to cleanse the palate, the chicken satay was tender with a really yummy peanut sauce. Fried shallot can be more generous though! A nice casual spot to hang out with friends.
