Acceptable but normal lah.
Pairing fried wantons with Ipoh horfun was quite shiok.
Ordered a cup of Milo Peng (Iced Milo) and instead of getting the usual freshly brewed Milo, I got the UHT packet version instead. Itâs uncommon for a Kopitiam to serve their Milo in this version so I went up to the stall to check if I could get an exchange. And the drink stall Auntie simply put the blame on me saying âyou should have requested for brewed version earlier!â in Chinese. So I replied âno other Kopitiam serves packet Milo as default so how would I have known if you guys didnât ask?â
And just as Auntie was about to exchange my drink, she asked âso how u drank this cup of Milo?â, to which I replied I did, otherwise I wouldnât be able to verify that this is the UHT version. She stopped and said âyou drink already cannot exchange. Next time say earlierâ
I wonder why the Auntie was so concerned about me drinking my cup of Milo â was she intending to serve it to the next customer if I hadnât? And what is this logic of blame-shifting when the drink stall didnât even highlight thereâs two versions of Milo upfront?
Conclusion is that I failed to get my drink exchanged, and I also returned my Milo to the stall.
Pls avoid irresponsible drink stall at all cost.
The Western food stall here is Tenderfresh. Not bad. Came with fries and garlic bread.
This neighborhood fixture sells Ipoh horfun in various forms. Of course, crabsticks are nothing to hao lian haha.
This stall once made one of the best fried fish soups around. I'm back after a long time to double confirm it's gone. Well, the fish was certainly no match, tasting of old oil. The soup noodle was better, especially the egg floss.
