May look like a plain normal fish soup, but this is really on another level. The fish soup ($5/6) at Lin Ji Tang Yu Zhou has such a wonderful clear broth with the umami coming from the fried garlic pieces, with extremely fresh fish slices. This is really comforting on any day!

Taste decent. The Kway Teow not the big fat one we normally see but rather thin and slim size. It was stir fry with yellow noodles, hard fishcake, cockles and eggs in dark soya and dark sweet sauce. I find the taste is kinda healthy as it isn't super oily and sauce taste mild.
Not my ideal kind as I prefer it to be heavily sinful taste.😅 Still, a plus point from them is that the Kway teow is topped off with pork floss giving an extra chewy and sweet texture.

Sweet savoury, moist, mushy, eggy fried carrot cake with thick coating of dark sweet soy sauce. A delightful pack of soft carrot cake that satisfy my late night crave.😋

Waiting time of 40mins on a Fri night. BBQ wings were hot, juicy and fall of the bone tender. Personally preferred the Chong Pang BBQ wings at the same hawker centre as that chilli was better and marinated better, but this was pretty good as well, with some nice char on the outside.

Ordered 4 chicken and 4 pork satay, but both were mediocre. Pieces were dry and hard, and cooked unevenly. Would not recommend.

I got the bee hoon with chicken wing and egg.
Tasty Bee Hoon comes with outstanding fried shallot & bean sprout which are more obvious in this case. It had the right balance of moisture, not too wet nor dry. Noodles will thinner too. When bite, you can feel the Q-ness of it.
Chicken wing although arrive lukewarm, but its taste retain wonderfully, still can taste some of its crispyness, and beautifully soaked marination as a whole.😋
Chilli lean towards the dry side, cooked with ikan bili to give some bites. Spiciness between mild and medium.

Like any popular stall, there’s usually a queue. I had the Chicken Set ($3.50) which comes with rice, fried chicken wing, ikan bilis (anchovies), peanuts and cucumber and a good amount of sambal chilli. To complete my meal, I added a begedil a.k.a. potato cutlet ($0.50) and otah ($2).

So I found the rice to be quite fragrant but the texture was slightly inconsistent, ranging from fluffy to lumpy. It could do with a bit more coconut milk though. The highlight would be the fried chicken wing. But it was a little overrated. While it was crispy and had a nice marinade, the meat was a tad dry and didn’t have much flavour to begin with.

The ikan bilis (fried anchovies) and peanuts were crunchy. I like the sambal as it’s sweet and spicy. Personally, I would prefer a sambal that is spicier but this solely my personal preference.

As for the add ons, the otah wasn’t too spicy and I could taste the coconut milk in the paste. Begedil was pretty average - probably because I didn’t have it when it was freshly cooked.

Okay la, I think it’s decent but not say really power. I’ll have it again for sure if I’m in the West and need to satisfy my nasi lemak cravings.
