Went there on a weekday evening to try the food and really enjoyed the experience! We got seated at the counter and were able to watch the chefs grill and plate the different dishes; the chefs and servers were friendly and took the time to explain each dish. Tried a couple of different starters and mains but my favourites were definitely the beef bulgogi with uni starter and the black cod. The black cod's skin was super crispy and light while the meat was extremely tender, would definitely come back to eat this dish again!
Recently dropped by Ingleside near tanjong pagar and was so impressed!
I tried 3 dishes:
1. The charred asparagus which contained smoked salmon, nuts, basils, rosemary and unique sauces. The smoked salmon was smoked to perfection, while the nuts, basils and rosemary added a refreshing taste to the dish:) The sauces also added an amazing flavour to the meal!
2. The heirloom tomatoes contained both fermented and fresh tomatoes! It was paired with a light and creamy cheese that added onto the overall taste of the dish! The saltiness of the fermented tomatoes with the sweetness of the freshness of the fresh tomatoes was a lovely combination!
3. The smoked chicken leg was rubbed with secret spices and was super tender! The endive salad was a refreshing contrast to the meat:)
Apart from just the food, the staff were also very knowledgeable and were so kind throughout the whole experience!
okay you picture this - it’s raining very heavily and you’re slurping on some hot herbal soup!! so yummy!!
that’s me that day when i visited Tan Ser Seng Herbs - honestly the soup was so so thick && the chicken really slipped right off as i pulled on the bone :”
tried their jade tofu and veggies as well and they all didn’t disappoint at all!! gon bring my parents here :D
Had a great meal at Bebek Goreng Pak Ndut. Ordered the original crispy fried duck and crispy chicken skin for sides. Highly recommended!
1st time to try their dessert - warm apple strudel with ice cream. Not bad at all! Everything’s good at Saizeriya and importantly, affordable! Thank u!
🏷️ $27
Love the cauliflower rice and the tenderness of the chicken. English-styled chicken rice and organic.
Love their dumplings 🥟 and noodles, springy but not soggy. Their wanton mee is the go-to, doesn’t go wrong and my comfort food.
🏷️ Chicken feet noodles $5
🏷️ Dumplings $5
Visited Gu Zao Ren for dinner and was really impressed! There is a diverse selection of zi char dishes to choose from. We ordered cereal chicken, chai poh omelette, hot plate bean curd and cockles. The cockles are definitely a must order, they are fresh and best eaten with the house chilli.
The other dishes were delicious and paired perfectly with the Taiwanese porridge. Differing from the usual Teochew porridge, it is thicker and has chunks of sweet potato in it. This place is worth visiting if you’re craving for a hearty meal!
Tried out Ingleside recently and had a great experience. It’s a modern European restaurant known for unique techniques like fermentation, dry-ageing, and wood-fired cooking.
We were warmly welcomed by the staff, who even gave us a mini tour of the cosy space and their signature dishes and wines.
Started with the Hokkaido Scallops – fresh and flavourful with pickled green apples and a tangy tomato dressing. For mains, we had the Tajima Wagyu Picanha ($65), marinated in shio koji and served with a roasted banana shallot. Rich, tender, and perfectly done.
If you're into great service, quality ingredients, and interesting cooking methods, Ingleside is definitely worth a visit!
