Fluffy crisp buttery buns, chunky sweet and succulent lobster flesh. Very satisfying indeed when you don’t have to share.
Ricotta pancakes were fluffy and I enjoyed the yuzu curd. Comes with citrus compote, oranges, strawberries and vanilla ice cream.
Penne with bacon, mentai cream, mozzarella. Some may find this slightly jelak but I managed to finish this all by myself although it’s probably good for sharing. What surprised me is how I didn’t hate the taste of spring onion here. Overall, would’ve liked a bit more texture to the dish.
Just a short walk from Kembangan MRT, Seng Coffee Bar is one of my new fav place to pop by for a quick coffee break in between appointments. My flat white was quite enjoyable and I like the biscotto served together with it!
Had the Grilled Four Cheese Toast ($10), the sourdough was nicely crisped, mild and cheesy enough with a mix of emmental/ cheddar/ feta/ Parmesan. Did feel a bit one dimensional but probably just my personal preference to have it with something tangy to cut through the richness. Added on mushrooms and scrambled eggs! 😛
A classic combination that wouldn’t go wrong - I really liked this Roasted Garlic Mushroom Burger. Perfectly seasoned beef patty sandwiched between fluffy potato buns, with juicy portobello mushrooms, provolone cheese, crispy fried shallots and roasted garlic mayo.
The slightly tangy roasted garlic mayo is, admittedly, nothing too overwhelming which is why although I generally hate garlic 🧛♀️, this is my favorite burger cos there’s nothing garlicky about it (i.e. some may find it too mild oooops). The roasted garlic fries might fare a tad batter for those who like stronger flavours; enjoyable but I still preferred the cheese fries.
Ordered for takeaway a few times - we’ve tried the prawns and squid (with various ways of cooking), the congee is fantastic, really tasty and portion is pretty decent even though it may seem slightly pricey. One thing that’s guaranteed is that the seafood served always tastes fresh!
I had the Prawn & Lala Soup for lunch (comes with choice of rice/ beehoon), really enjoyed this - rich and brimming with sweetness from seafood. Plenty of lala though they were too tiny for my liking; but the juicy prawns were quite huge and sweet.
They have a couple of ongoing lunchtime promotions from daily 1-for-1s, free drink to free add on like wings/ spinach tofu (which is what I got and it’s shiok!). Aside from a seafood-centric menu, there’s also a small selection of other dishes such as chicken cutlet, and zichar style dishes like kangkong/ kailan. Worth a try if you happen to be in the area!😋
Tonkin Jasmine shoots, specially air flown from Vietnam. Had a sense of familiarity with this as it reminded me of Chinese kailan. This was stir fried with garlic which may look rather unassuming, but I liked the crunch and flavours!
Thank you Burpple for the kind invite and Mrs Pho for having us!
Unanimous favourite! Served with pickles, herbs, vegetables, succulent nicely grilled pork and patties marinated with lemongrass and fish sauce that is sure to whet one’s appetite.

Served with tiger prawns, pomelo and fresh herbs, this was mildly sweet, tangy and appetisingly refreshing! Came with a side of crackers for crunch.
The traditional charcoal hotpot comes with 4 soup bases made with Vietnamese herbs, spices, ingredients to choose from and a good selection of meats, seafood and vegetables.
The robust Nourishing Collagen Pepper Soup which reminds one of local pig organ soup, Vietnamese Perilla Mutton Soup, herbal chicken mushroom soup (which was a tad on the bitter side but very comforting!); and my favourite of the 4 - The Crab Bisque Soup (Regular $38, Large $48) (spicy/non-spicy). It was unexpectedly light with sweetness from the crab. My favourite ingredients for the hotpot was the incredibly tender Wagyu, and I really liked the succulent homemade prawn paste. The dips were fantastic too!

Nicely grilled, liked the texture but the squid was a tad bland on its own, definitely needed the mildly spicy, tangy sauce on the side.
