A tad pricey at $5.20 for a single scoop BUT this was at least enjoyable. Very refreshing, not too sweet, and I liked their addition of candied ginger!

Looks pretty old school but tasted fantastic. Good textures too with moist chocolate sponge soaked in cognac, fresh cream layer that was just right, brandied cherries with a crunchy layer at the bottom. Some may find this too strong but this is definitely one of my favourite blackforest cake to date - it’s super boozy!

They’ve got the non-alcohol version too, from $50.

This promotional seafood mini rice was quite satisfying with roasted scallop, salmon roe, crab meat, prawn and crab miso on the side! Rly like the refreshing yuzu sauce.

Served with leeks, tang-oh and yuzu skin. Wished there were more yuzu zest to it, but the broth was pretty decent. Prefer a slightly more chewy soba texture though.

After a long break from the burnt cheesecake hype, I took the plunge to parting with my money and no regrets cos this is one of my favourite so far.

Got this through their birthday slots! At $60 (including delivery) it’s definitely not cheap but I get the hype and why despite the frequent ā€œI want!ā€ posts, it’s not easy to get a slot.

It’s oozy (photo was from cutting it right out from the fridge - didn’t have to leave it out too long to get this texture!), creamy, a nice balance between that tinge of savoury and sweet with a lovely caramelised top.

Second meal out last weekend since the easing of P3HA, at one of my favorite place! This is the first time we’ve dined in here (been ordering delivery the past few times) and I think it travels quite well.

Decided to try Bakwan Kepiting ($7) which was a simple soup with minced meat/crabmeat meatballs - while the soup was comforting, I wasn’t a fan of the meatballs as the porky taste was pretty strong. Also ordered Gado Gado ($12), Otak Otak (a tad pricey at $4 a piece); and tried the curry vegetables - which I absolutely loved! Lemak and not overly spicy for that right amount of enjoyment. And of course we had to get the Ayam Panggang ā€œBlue Gingerā€. We also had Beef Rendang and Sotong Keluak to go - was damn good too! šŸ˜‹

Tender, mild smokiness and flavourfully marinated with a medley of spices. Definitely one of my favorites from TBG.

Pretty good coffee (beans from Proud Mary which I somehow enjoyed better than the one I had at Craig Rd😬)!

Went for a pretty safe option from their breakfast menu - Super creamy scrambled eggs with truffle cream and briny pops of ikura. Got a bit jelak towards the end but the perfectly toasted till crisp, slightly chewy Sourdough bread was a good pairing to finish it all up. Wished I had more bread!

One of my favourite stop for Butter Chicken when I’m in the area!

The set comes with rice and naan but you can opt to change the rice to more naan. Loved how it’s creamy, flavorful and not overly spicy. Chicken was tender and the piping hot naans were great for wiping this piquant gravy up.

Newly opened Ding Heng has a pretty simple menu focusing mainly on Bakchormee with 3 types to choose from Basic ($5.50) / Special ($8) / Premium ($12).

We liked the bakchormee! I usually go for the Special, for additional ingredients like prawn and shrimp paste. Premium has an additional ingredient of abalone if you’re feeling fancy.

Usually not a fan of fishball but I actually enjoyed the ones here which were bouncy and very juicy. I love that they add ti poh (fried sole fish)! A little inconsistency here - was more crisp when I had it during lunch vs dinner’s.

Would ask for more vinegar the next time I order. So far we’ve been doing takeaways so the noodles may not be the best (kway tiao is highly recommended if you’re doing takeaways!)

One thing to note, their chilli is VERY spicy by my standards but very shiok (but I think they received quite a bit of feedback as they said they were gonna tone it down a bit🤣).

As for side dishes, didn’t quite mind the otah, which was also spicy. Prawn roll were more like crispy prawn cake, a bit oily but shiok. Would skip the fish fritters 😬

Aside from bakchormee, there’s fishball noodles and laksa. We enjoyed the laksa too! Didn’t add chilli so it wasn’t spicy, gravy was creamy but not too heavy with a nutty fragrance.

Newly opened at Marine Parade, @cocoboss.sg serves a pretty refreshing cup of coconut shake great for the recent weather! Liked that one could customise sugar level (I usually go for 0% because it’s sweet enough) and the crunch preference of coconut flesh (bits/ chunkier) and there are lots of other flavours to choose from. There’s also a ā€œSurprise Meā€ option on the menu for the indecisive peoplešŸ˜†
