Haven’t been to cafes in awhile, prices are rather pricey but so far everything I had was pretty good! The rosti was crisp, paired well with the mentaiko mayo and ikura; texture of the smoky octopus was just right! Topped with bonito flakes, it reminded me a little of okonomiyaki 😂

Puff pastry with silky scrambled egg, mushroom and bacon, on Ikura Caviar Beurre Blanc. Really enjoyed this! The puff pastry was crisp, but of course, it gets soggy after soaking up the delish, fragrant butter sauce with the pop of brininess. Portion isn’t huge so this is perfect if you’re not too hungry.

Creamy smashed avo, nori jam, lightly seasoned crispy kale atop ciabatta with a side of fluffy scrambled eggs. Pretty satisfying but thought it’d be perfect with more crunchy/ crisp texture aside from the kale. Or maybe I just need a litttttle bacon to go with it 😛

The Miso Charred Greens ($6) was fantastic too. Very appetizing and couldn’t stop going for it. Liked the crunchy texture too and how the cauliflower/ broccoli were just right neither too hard nor soft😂 I immediately googled for recipes and made a mental note to try this at home but I think I’ll gladly be back for this again and try the other sandos!

Went for a pretty safe option from their breakfast menu - Super creamy scrambled eggs with truffle cream and briny pops of ikura. Got a bit jelak towards the end but the perfectly toasted till crisp, slightly chewy Sourdough bread was a good pairing to finish it all up. Wished I had more bread!

Had wanted to try korio for the longest time but my timing was always off/ they sold out early!

Finally had this very sinful Biggie Croque ($16) all by myself. Chunky layers of smoked turkey ham, oozy mix of swiss, cheddar&bechamel cheese with a good mustard mayo, caramelised onions to cut through the richness, sandwiched between crispy sourdough. Portion was quite huge, wished there was an option to get half and half for variety for a lone diner😆

A lovely place for brunch and coffee hidden within The Yards.

Each component of the Breakfast Burger was well done - crisp brioche, beautiful silky scrambled egg, juicy pork sausage patty, slightly tangy ketchup-mayo, caramelised onions which I surprisingly didn’t mind; with crispy golden brown hash browns on the side - very much like a better, elevated version of mcd. I did find it to be a bit heavy on the flavours halfway through, so the refreshing mesclun salad was a good addition.

Was a pricey one at $20 and portion was a bit big for me but I enjoyed it and wiped the plate clean 🤣 Will still be back for an occasional splurge!

Bread dipped in eggs before being fried till golden brown, topped with butter, and a side of syrup to go with it. Yum!

Got the All Day Breakfast set that comes with a drink (opted for milk tea, which was not bad). Silky scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, sausages, baked beans and more importantly, the crisp buttery, sweet condensed milk bun that I had to try after seeing Julius’s post!

Toasted sourdough milk bun served with a slab of smooth butter, charcoal-grilled so you get that nice golden brown.

Pity we were here past their breakfast hours or we could’ve gotten the set that comes with kopi/teh and egg (+$1 for Kaya) like a true blue Singaporean breakfast. I thoroughly enjoyed the smooth nitro coffee cold brew too!

I liked how there was so much going on in this plate with all that textures, balance of sweetness and differing temperatures.

Generous amount of berries with berries compote, crunch, warm moist (mini) hotcakes. The muffin-like hotcakes wasn’t exactly what I had expected, but decent enough for a nice weekend brunch. Portion is probably good for 1 so you don’t have to share. What I thought could be better, is the ice cream which tasted a little generic. Service wasn’t the best either 🤷🏻‍♀️ Might be the timing when we were there and I haven’t been back for a long, long time so I wouldn’t write it off completely.

Don’t say bojio cos there’s a 20% going on now for their weekend gin & brunch in April, if you make a reservation with promo code “MASSESG&B”.

Not the most flattering photo but this “wazza” was pretty interesting - basically a Waffle-pizza so you’ve got buttermilk waffle with mozzarella, topped very generously with ingredients. Waffles were pretty soft and fluffy. We got the Okonomiyaki which came with tuna flakes, fried egg, tonkatsu sauce, Japanese mayo and bonito flakes, similar to the Japanese pancake! Surprisingly addictive though a little too one-dimensional texture-wise. Probably would be even better with more crisp waffle, crunchy bits or even ingredients like octopus in takoyaki?. Pretty filling at only $11 nett!
