Tame your next sweet craving at this quaint new cafe in Serangoon (it's down the road from Cafe Plain Jane). KOOKS Creamery specialises in molten lava cookies ($5.50 each) — soft-centred cookies holding luscious, oozy centre. Their hand-crafted ice cream (from $3.60 a scoop) is pretty good too! For best value, get the Lava Cookie Set ($8.50), which sees either a chocolate or matcha lava cookie topped with a scoop of ice cream. Get creative with pairing ice cream flavours, or be inspired by Burpplers who seem to love pairing the cookies with nougat, Ferroro Rocher and lemon curd ice cream. Yum!

Kinda pricey, but it's one of the best matcha lattes in Singapore with its intense matcha flavor and subtle sweetness. Also, it comes with a scoop of matcha ice cream inside. Overall a well-balanced drink that matcha lovers should try!!

Having tried their Malted Earl Grey and Malted Milk Custard Puffs in the past, I was keen to try out the Matcha Custard Puff. Just like the other two, the matcha eagerly oozes out as you put a bite into the sturdy puff pastry, revealing a light bittersweet aroma that was pleasant without going all strong and leaving an aftertaste afterwards. For the sheer size of the puff, this is definitely a steal at $3.50 per pop.

Missing the textures and flavours of the classic pancakes, the offerings at Kyushu Pancake might be more suited for the health-conscious. An wholesome alternative, the blend of finely selected grains used in the mix is free of emulsifier, artificial fragrance, additives and processed starch. So expect less sweet and more guilt-free treats. Topped with matcha mousse and light fresh cream, their signature Matcha MontBlanc ($18.00) was a little denser, doughy and grainy to the usual buttery fluffy pancakes that we are more accustomed to. Perhaps for an acquired taste, the matcha montblanc sauce served together was also relatively bland.

Perfect for the hazy hot Saturday afternoon. Luscious and creamy with strong avocado taste, each mouthful was a delight!! Think it will be better if they drizzle some Gula Melaka over 😍

Got this banana brulee waffle with salted caramel sauce + scoop of Bailey's kit kat ice cream for $8.80 ($5.50 without the ice cream). Waffle was fluffy and they were super generous with the toppings-- almost couldn't finish it 😝. The sauce wasn't overpowering and blended well with the waffle, especially when drizzled onto the popcorn. Banana was also perfectly toasted. Very very worth it, would definitely come back another time for their other waffles/shibuya toast!

This contains Kyoto Matcha infused cake sponge, layered with salted egg yolk custard, covered with Matcha frosting and topped with milk custard crumbs.

Just $3.50 for this slice of goodness!! Cake was moist and fluffy, and the blackberry wasn't too overpowering and complemented the flavour well. Totally worth it for that price.
They change their desserts every day and give updates via their Facebook page-- For this day they had this chocolate cake and a chocolate cranberry macademia bread pudding (which they ran out of :( )

Another friend of mine bought this Matcha Salted Egg Croissant from @asanoyasg for me this morning. (Greg ate most of it; save me some calories 😅) - "Good Friends Make One Another Fat" 😆
Overall Yummy! Just that I taste more salted egg than matcha in this croissant.

White Rabbit Lava Cake (SGD $6.50) - A matcha sponge oozing out with our childhood creamy flavor of 大白兔奶糖 and topped with a homemade crispy black sesame 贡糖. A nice twist to the usual lava cake. Surprisingly the lava cake is not as sweet as you might think and the flavors complimented well with each other.
