So we decided to try this as it's quite rare to have Tom Yum powdered fries. I would say we weren't disappointed by it but at the same time not blown away. Fries were of the shoestring variant (think McDonald's) and the Tom Yum powder gave the fries some kick. Overall, a slightly above average quality serving of fries.
Found another hawker stall selling what is becoming one of my favourite dishes - steam dumplings with chilli oil. Similar to the one in Chinatown Complex at 10 pieces for $4.50; this is great value for money and stomach. Highly recommend. 😋
One of my favourite hawker dishes. This rendition is pretty good as it's fried crisply well coupled with the fragrance from the oysters (although I don't eat them 😅). Go with the chilli and the result is a mouthful of satisfaction. 😋
A solid plate of fried hokkien mee. Not to be missed when you're at Zion! 😋
Combining elements from Singapore and Japan resulting in an extremely delightful bowl of innovation. This is the signature and only dish from A Noodle Story. Current prices are S - $7, M - $9, Special - $13. The small bowl is sufficient for an average Singaporean male but you won't go wrong too for getting bigger portions. Highly recommend. 😋
Found this place on Burpple after being stuck at Siglap and I'm really glad we tried this out! I even doubted myself when I felt that this pizza was superb due to hunger. But as I gobbled I can confirm that this was a really awesome box of pizza (they serve it in a box even though its not a takeaway). The crust was perfect; not overly thin like other brands' yet still manages to maintain its crispiness with ample filling. The main combination of smoked duck, mozzarella cheese and rosemary was sublime. Highly recommend. 😋
P.S. I regretted not having the 12 inch one at just $3 more...
Turkey bacon was well cooked. I liked that the toasts were crunchy. Pity that the hollandaise sauce wasn't as good as expected. But for the price it's value for money. 😋
DO NOT let this plate of average looking fried spring rolls fool you. It is a must-try here. Some sort of magical marinate must have gone into the pork inside. This was a dish that got my mind blown. 😋
Not a fan of dry bee hoon actually but the pork cutlet, wow. It's well fried and goes well with fried onion and peanuts as it's garnishes. Overall a super fragrant bowl of Vietnamese delight. 😋
It's quite value for money given the generous servings for the price. However, I overestimated myself here that I can finish this bowl of sumptuous salad in one sitting. Nonetheless, I recommend checking out this healthy-ish offering by Guac & Co as it is a really fresh and tasty bowl of salad with guacamole and cajun chicken as the main ingredients.
P.S. pardon the photo. I was hungry. 😅
Decent bowl of ytf with hakka noodles at above average price, will try the laksa next time!
Traditional breakfast fix. Not shown - the other half piece of bread. Additionally shown - kopi.
