donโt fancy liu sha baos in the first place but something about the filling didnโt sit well with me and it wasnโt flowy either. wouldnโt reorder this!
again, the rice roll here was smooth and the thickness was just right. just wished there was more pork filling within for a more satisfying mouthful, but definitely one of the better rice rolls iโve had!
i liked the contrasting textures of the silky smooth rice rolls and the crispy prawn but eat it fast or else the prawn turns soggy from absorbing the sauce. a kinda heavy dish though cos portion is quite huge!
v soupy!! the soup in the first xlb i ate exploded everywhere :") the skin wasnโt too thick and they didn't skimp on the pork filling! not bad but i feel theirs is quite pricey
dumplings themselves were plump and juicy but the sauce was SUPER vinegary, both my friend and i were surprised when we took our first bite :โ) especially since we had read reviews saying it could be more vinegary ๐ณ the sauce tasted off-balance this time but if you prefer stronger vinegar flavours, this might appeal to you!
didnโt expect myself to like this as iโm not a fan of pandan but the sweet pandan shell paired surprisingly well with the char siew ๐ also enjoyed the crisp exterior of the pandan shell though its sweetness gets slightly surfeiting after one bun. the char siew filling (thankfully) wasnโt too sweet though i wished there was more of it.
must admit that the blue hue looked really pretty but besides the ig-worthy aesthetics, these werenโt that special and tasted just like any regular har gow. thought that the skin was on the thicker side and the prawn filling was quite dry. size wasnโt that XL either๐ฅฒ just go for the regular har gow!
big breakfast but the eggs benโs portion is bigger ๐คฃ it originally comes with baked beans but we switched it out for more mushrooms! my fav was the brioche toast, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. but tbh nothing particularly exceptional about this, just an average breakfast platter that i probably wouldnโt have gotten if not for the burpple discount.
while itโs no doubt affordable, this dish fell short of expectations. i love a good punchy pesto flavour but the pasta was only lightly coated with pesto so it was unfortunately very mild ๐ would recommend sticking to their bread dishes which is what they are known for anyway
finally tried the brunch item highly raved by many. the eggs were perfectly poached with runny yolks, pulled pork was tender and flavourful and the brioche was fluffy and well-toasted but the sauce from the pulled pork made it soggy quickly ๐ฅฒ the sauce was on the sweeter side like some other reviewers mentioned which isnโt exactly to my liking but i still enjoyed this dish overall! also, the portion is generous especially considering the price.
been awhile since i last had vongole and this ticked all the right boxes. the sauce was light yet flavourful and they were super generous with the clams ๐คฉ spiciness level seems a little inconsistent though. have had this twice recently and the first time it had zero spice but it was more prominent the second time.
one of their bestsellers!! rly enjoyed the firm springy texture of their soba ๐๐ป it was good as i had expected, knowing they specialise in soba, but their tempura was a surprising standout ๐คฉ ticked all the boxes of a good tempura โ thinly battered, crispy and light without any greasy aftertaste ๐ค iโd go as far as to say that itโs better than most tendon chains.
