ordered this to share and it was definitely one of the better ones i’ve had. fresh juicy squid coated with a light crisp batter and it wasn’t too oily!!

never thought i’d ever say this about chendol but this was really good 😵‍💫 they really nailed the proportion of the gula melaka and coconut milk, it was super fragrant, creamy yet not cloying. the red beans also weren’t mushy or overly sweet and the yam paste was smooth and savoury, pairing rly well with the sweet chendol!! was left a lil confused by the pandan jelly though. it had a kueh-like texture and tasted exactly like 九层糕 which i couldn’t get used to :”) other than that, it’s a super yummy and refreshing treat 🤩

love their mochi breads so i had to try their newest flavour. as usual, the bread was chewy and fluffy and the mochi had the perfect stretchy consistency ✨ the matcha cream cheese filling wasn’t really to my liking but i think this is purely personal preference! this bun would appeal more to those who prefer a milder matcha flavour as the cream cheese taste was a lil overpowering imo. but plus points for it not being too sweet!!

as a mentaiko lover, i didn’t hesitate to order this! the savouriness of the creamy torched mentaiko went very well with the sweet tamago. sashimi chunks were also super fresh and good as expected. can’t wait to be back for more!!!

no wonder everyone raves about omote bc their chirashi is def the best i’ve had in sg. the sashimi cubes were so fresh and juicy!!! 🤩 and they are really generous with it. also topped up for the premium set (+$8) which is only available during lunch. it comes with chawanmushi, mentaiyaki gyoza, salmon sashimi, jap salad, hot & cold appetizer and miso soup. my favs were the gyoza and chawanmushi!

rosti with smoked salmon served with sour cream! the rosti was flavourful, crispy and not too oily. and smoked salmon is always a good pairing. can’t find any faults with it 👌🏻

ended off our meal here with this decadent treat! kinda looks like a lava cake so you might expect something to flow out but it’s just vanilla ice cream within~ the brownie wasn’t too sweet but the texture was disappointing since it came frozen and was slightly hard. could be more moist and fudgier!!

tbh all bibimbaps taste almost the same to me so this was decent but nothing to shout about. opted for beef bulgogi and it was well-marinated although it could be a little less dry. portion was generous though so it’s value-for-money!

the kimchi they use here is more on the sour side which might not be to everyone’s liking. the pancake had a substantial amount of kimchi and i liked how crispy it was but it was honestly super oily 😥

sliced pork marinated in bulgogi sauce and served w rice and 4 banchans. was tender and flavourful enough and my friend enjoyed it but imo nothing to shout about. decent for the price though!

the one dish everyone recommends and it was indeed the best part of our meal 🌟 though not as fluffy as i was expecting, the egg was soft, light on the palate and overall comforting to have especially when it’s just served and still hot.

first time trying jjajangmyeon and it exceeded all my expectations 🤩 liked the noodles!!! qq, chewy and slurpworthy. the sauce was really good too - had the right balance of sweet and savoury, with a tinge of smokiness that went really well with the noodles. only wished that there was more meat within the sauce. definitely going back for more!
