One of the popular banana leaf rice spots in KL which is still utilising fresh banana leafs. Drown the rice in various curries, mix the sides and your selected protein (fried sotong being the most popular)

A place specialising on both sweet and savoury pancakes. Sweet pancakes have a smaller portion 😉 Summons are very common so please park appropriately

Would suggest to request for less sweet as they’re generous with pumps of syrup. Good ambience for tea/ catch up sessions

Traditional wood-fired oven thin and crispy pizzas with generous toppings. Opens till late night and has a lively atmosphere. Parkings are usually limited at store front, best to park at the surrounding neighbourhood

Tucked in a small corner at Pavilion, search for Cotton On and you’ll find this kiosk opposite it. Japanese shaved ice flavoured with matcha syrup and sweetened peanut sauce. We preferred sans peanut sauce as it overpowers the fragrance of matcha

A twist of Singaporean chilli crab incorporated to the soft shell crab burger. The sauce was a tad too salty, but balanced by the runny egg beneath

Crispy chicken topped with creamy Japanese curry is the ultimate comfort dish and still relatively affordable

Best eaten on a rainy day where the spice from kimchi will keep you warm, this place is also famed for their BBQ beef. The interiors are instaworthy so snap away!

Deboned, fresh and lightly salted, served with salad and chawanmushi

Best combination when sweet potato fries are served as a side. The dipping sauce is also one of my favourites, with a distinctive enhanced flavour contributed by torched ginger flower

Rich and refreshing, occasionally found on their ‘daily specials’ menu, don’t hesitate to order!

Bestseller, tonnes of pearls in a humungous cup. Recommended to go default with ice and sugar levels
