Tried most of the Poke places in the CBD and this is probably my favourite! The unlimited choice of regular toppings makes for a rather generous & satisfying bowl.
Probably one of the best I’ve tried in Singapore! The portion is good for 2-3 pax. Great for a late night fix as they open till 3am!
What you see here is just HALF of their cray dessert Pig Out menu! If desserts is your thing, this should definitely be the next stop on your wishlist. 🏃♂️
Everything is not just wonderfully plated, but beautifully balanced too! At no point did we feel gelat at all and it was over all too soon. Everything was great, but if I had to rank them I’d say the Mini Childhood took the top stop (who know raspberry granita would go so well with hazelnut?) with Passionfruit and Hazelnut trailing close behind. Now who says you can’t have dessert for a meal. 😜
This Telok Ayer restaurant specialises in food and sake pairing, and their collection of the drink spans across 20 prefectures, and counting! The Sake here starts from $8 for a 90ml serving, or you can get a flight of three 50ml shots for $24. No fear if you're sake-savvy, for the menu details the tasting notes very succinctly. The food menu is packed with umami-rich plates made for sake-pairing. Expect the likes of ginger-infused Miso Pork ($12), Takoyaki Fries ($12) and Nasu Dengaku ($12, baked eggplant glazed with miso and yuzu) or, for a meal in itself, the Kabuke Wagyu Bowl ($28) of wagyu striploin with onsen egg, garlic chips and truffle shoyu. This isn't just an after dark place. These guys serve a compact lunch menu of mostly rice bowls (from $15 for the simple but good Gyudon). Lunch time is also when a 90ml serving of the sake of the day goes for $5. Just sayin'.
Avg Price: $50 with drinks

After two not-so-successful attempts at visiting this popular brunch spot along Guillemard Road, I finally got down to trying the mains. Thus I couldn’t avoid the customary order of Brawn & Brains Oven Baked Molten Eggs with a side of Smoked Salmon, Avocado and Melted Cheese ($16.80).
Certainly an eggcellent start to the day! Comforting and a foolproof brunch item, you just can’t go wrong with a generous soft cheesy blanket over runny oozy eggs and smoked salmon added in the mix. What’s more having a good balance of greens with spinach and millennials’ favourite - avocado. Meant to be shared, portion is also substantial and made hearty.
Lu rou fan ($10),sirloin bowl ($10) & smashed potatoes ($5)
Croque madam ($18) & buttermilk pancakes with white wine honey ($8.50)
Highly recommend the spring onion pancakes and dumplings!
The white flesh carries a rich and buttery sweet flavour that can rival those of premium crustaceans. The grill on the fish was almost perfect, giving rise to crispy caramelised edges.
