This cider is made of apple wine, with added soft vanilla and strawberry flavours. It isn't too bold and it's very subtle, leaving a clean after taste. The body is light, carbonation is soft. Perfect to cool down during mid-day or dinner, in the midst of our humid climate!

This imperial stout is truly monstrous. With it's honey and coffee aroma, it leaves a bitter, and oily feel on your lips that makes you crave for more. It is medium bodied, with a slight sticky lacing.

สวัสดี สิงคโปร์ (Hello Singapore)! Many Singaporeans who have went to Bangkok should have tried the widely acclaimed Shibuya thick toast from After You and left the cafe with positive reviews and came back to Singapore missing it even more. Back home, we can satisfy our thick toast cravings from places such as Stateland Cafe, Dazzling Cafe and the most affordable out of them, Toast Box. Recently, Tuk Tuk Cha, a Thai cafe opened by the Thai Boat Noodles at Bedok Point, launched their own version of thick toasts but unfortunately I was there one day earlier before their official launch. We had to settle for their Thai Toast ($3 per set) with Kaya and Taro dip ($0.80 each) and Thai Milk Tea (regular $2.80, large $3.20) which were all good. The Thai milk tea has the distinctive tea taste that you can get along the streets of Thailand which I suspect they might be using the Number One Brand Thai Tea brand. The toast was buttery and crispy, with the accompanying dips a good combination.
The prawns were fresh and they weren't stingy with the quantity. The mango bits were slightly hard and not too sweet, but it blended in well together with the prawn. The outer layer were crispy too. However, I wouldn't recommend dipping too much mayonnaise though.
I feel that these local food houses need to be brought to attention, instead of just focusing too much on new cafes and such.
I'll be back to try their porridge again, and also their Durian XO chee cheong fun 😵

Peanut butter and raspberry jelly stuffed toast, spiced vanilla custard, speculoos cookie soil, maple syrup, vanilla bean ice cream and mixed berry coulis 》$14
My virgin experience with eggs benedict. The yolks were runny and well poached. Salmons were fresh and the salad dressings were slightly overpowering.
Roast cafe serves similar all day breakfast and desserts just like a typical cafe in SG does. However, they do have some Western and Thai fusion dishes that were awesome too.

Vanilla Cafe is a nice and quiet place to hang out over a cup of coffee and cakes. If the weather permits, the seats outside would be better, especially in the evenings.
Thai definitely has some good cafes hidden and dispersed everywhere. I must say I'm impressed with their quality and standards. Just bear in mind the language barrier and some potential scams at certain places

Their signature coffee's delicious; tastes like a cuppa minty hot chocolate. #ronincafe @ Hong Kong Street ••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Can't resist a cup of hot chocolate with marshmallows! The hot chocolate leans more towards the milky side, with lots of marshmallows to up the sweetness (and shiokness).
The pancakes were extremely aromatic and rather buttery, and reminded me of the fragrance and texture of a slightly uncooked Prima Deli waffle. The crunchy ondeh ondeh filling was sweet and quite legit, while the vanilla ice cream sat pretty and assisted whenever the proceedings got dry. Do share though, as it gets a bit samey after a while. 3.7/5

Fasting month has been very taxing. Just glad that it's over, and there's some improvement in life balance.
