When it comes to Chinese banquet , on any special occasions, Cold Dish Platter is a must. But it has somehow been losing its popularity.
Introduce by my Muslim friends to try out a Chinese Halal Restaurant at Clementi call Apoh Kitchen. A small cozy restaurant situated at a corner of a HDB flat Blk 354. We had crab party about a month back and decided to Bring my family to celebrate Mother's Day today for lunch. I was surprise to see Mother's Day set menu that has Cold Dish Platter. To cut the story short... it's awesome. The Cold Dish combination serve all the Dish that our family loves. A portion of fried egg with crab meat , salad Prawns with longan, japans fried chicken with seasweed (kids love it) and a stir fried French bean with scallop. Compliments to the chef. We truly enjoy ourselves. And of course the rest of the food in the menu ... awesome ! Delicious... definitely heading back again. Can't wait to share with you more about their other dishes.
To me the pricing is reasonably cheap. No GST and service charge. Where to find nowadays.
Pad-Thai, a traditional Thai favourite of many Thais and Singaporeans alike! Here, it's a dish consisting of rice noodles stir-fried with succulent and extremely fresh prawns, crunchy bean sprouts, fragrant roasted peanuts and egg. It seems to me that only a woman will be able to make a superbly authentic Thai dish, just like our moms! Their edge over a male cook? The love and passion that they inject into cooking a dish for their loved ones, which is so similar to that of our Peranakan culture, where the matriarch is always in charge of cooking all those marvelous dishes that nobody else is able to recreate.
Soya Sauce Chicken . Situated at 8 upper cross st, Chew Kee eating house is a well know establishment for their superb soya sauce chicken noodle. Soya sauce chicken is a classic Cantonese meat dish that braised with soya sauce that makes the taste sweet and little salty. The texture of the meat is soft, juicy and flavourful.... uncle add $1/- noodle for me.
Very fast service ,friendly staffs and lunch is usually super pack. Was there at 11.55pm and manage to grab a table and enjoy my meal 3 feet away from the main road, enjoying my meal while watching the busyness of the traffic.
What a hot hot weather.
Braised Duck is my pick of the day for lunch. An authentic Teochew dish, this stall is not a new kid on the block. They have been around before I was born . Love their dark clear braising sauce that's not starchy like many other stalls and their classic chilli mix with sambal. Mix it with their ... wait... was it yam rice or brown rice ... alamak masok my tummy already... hmmmm... anyhow the taste is awesome.
Ok! Ok! I know that corner is missing. Had that most crispy roasted chicken skin stuff in my mouth before taking this photo. Had lunch at one of the oldest Cantonese Restaurant - Yan Palace with family. Roasted chicken is a must for me when I have my meal there.
Wanton Noodle :- when it comes to Wanton Noodle, what is it that makes it so special? Is it the honey BBQ pork? Is it the ingredients that stuff inside the wanton skin since the name is Wanton Mee ? Is it the noodle? Or is it the chilli ? Everyone has their own preferences. As for this stall, I guess those who stays in the East will know them. If not, get to know them situated at Blk 164 Tampines
Urap is an indo delicacy with their super Sedap sambal balajan. Wrap the freshly cut vegetable around the raw crunchy kacang Panjang together with the freshness of Timun ... wait! is it fresh Japanese cucumber? Don't forget to coat them with the balajan before stuffing it inside your mouth. Close your eyes, start chewing and witness the cucumber juice diluting the balajan further, OMG!!!! Whoooofff !!! Confirm shoot you straight to Mars... O! Yes! Before I forget , they don't serve ice water 😹😹😹. Have a great weekend.
Everyone loves chicken rice. How to define the best? Everyone claims to be the best and every corner, every coffeeshop, there's always a chicken rice stall. As for me, as long as the chilli is right, the aroma of the rice is there and the chicken is tender, that should do the job.
If you think it's just a Mee Goreng, indeed it is but not an ordinary plate of noodle. Their chilli is one of a kind. With the wok 'hei' and their unselfish quantity serving , plus their affordable pricing indeed it is worth to spread the news out.
A place to dine with friends and family for any occasion. I will say they have their style. Feels like home.
Went there to have a meal with my family. Curry Fish Head is a must. Wasted they sold out their sambal petai with mince chicken. Otherwise with both dishes side by side, I'll be damn! Their curry gravy is pretty light and you can even drink it till the last drop. Too many dishes to share but Fish Head is a must to share. Definitely heading back to try the rest.
Situated at 19 sims way, park at the multi carpark (turn in from Geylang Lorong 3) and it's just beside. Very convenient.
Interesting they don't charge service charges and GST. It's a great place for gathering.
In Singapore, every coffee shop sure have an Indian stall and every Indian stall sure sell prata. And not all stalls serve the best prata. How do you define best? Well, beside having the best curry, prata has to be thin and crispy. Some prefer to eat with sugar (especially kids), others love to soak their prata with curry. I prefer just to dip with sugar and curry. This stall may not be the perfect stall for Indian food but their prata is awesome. Crispy and Hot. That's the way it should be. Either telur or kosong, nothing fanciful. Just the kind of old school prata. Go check it out.
Feel so high with this Mee Soto. The soup is soooo Sedap ! Tak boleh tahan ! Nasi Lemak or this? Cannot choose! So I decided to take ... BOTH !!! What a breakfast . I'm at my zen right now ... burpp!!!
