When it comes to Chinese banquet , on any special occasions, Cold Dish Platter is a must. But it has somehow been losing its popularity.
Introduce by my Muslim friends to try out a Chinese Halal Restaurant at Clementi call Apoh Kitchen. A small cozy restaurant situated at a corner of a HDB flat Blk 354. We had crab party about a month back and decided to Bring my family to celebrate Mother's Day today for lunch. I was surprise to see Mother's Day set menu that has Cold Dish Platter. To cut the story short... it's awesome. The Cold Dish combination serve all the Dish that our family loves. A portion of fried egg with crab meat , salad Prawns with longan, japans fried chicken with seasweed (kids love it) and a stir fried French bean with scallop. Compliments to the chef. We truly enjoy ourselves. And of course the rest of the food in the menu ... awesome ! Delicious... definitely heading back again. Can't wait to share with you more about their other dishes.
To me the pricing is reasonably cheap. No GST and service charge. Where to find nowadays.
Hongkong Steam Fish has been Chinese traditional dish for many auspicious event like Wedding events. This dish requires the fish to be fresh and usually Chef loves to serve it using Soon Hock.
In this restaurant, this dish is serve fresh and without pork and lard, you can really taste the fine touch of a Cantonese Cuisine.
This is one unique dish that was highly recommended. Need not much intro about this Prawns. It's juicy on the inside. If you are not afraid of high cholesterol, the shells of the Prawns are so crispy that you can even eat it. Dipping these Prawns with their inhouse sambal balajan, makes me feels like I'm in Bandung.
Compliments to the chef.
This Traditional Cantonese steamed fish often served as one of the final courses in a traditional Chinese wedding banquet. Guess what? It's MUIS certified. (means no pork no lard) and the taste is awesome. Meowww.... sure to head back for more other foods on the menu. Comparing the price and the freshness, it sure to win other big seafood names.
