Itâs my first time trying the Thai food here and it was quite good! We ordered the garlic fried pork, tom yam soup, plain egg omelette and basil pork. They are generous with the portions, which makes the dishes really value for money! The tom yam soup was tangy and not too spicy. We opted for the seafood version, and there was a good amount of seafood in there. The soup is enough to feed 3-4 people. Overall, this place is affordable given the portion size and the food is pretty authentic! Will definitely come here again :)
first located at old semb shopping centre food court, the taste didnât change much still after shifting places and opening more outlets. still keeping it at affordable price and decent portion. homely taste and feeling nostalgic. they only need to serve thai milk tea, that will complete my meal!! bought thai milk tea from nana thai located opposite of taste of thailand đ€Ł #jxeatsrecommend
Made a recent revisit to Durian Lab CafĂ© â it has been quite some time since the last time we have had the MSW Durian Sago, but it was also for this new item that is a collaboration between Durian Lab Cafe and Keong Saik Bakery which is only available on weekends.
Not an item that is unfamiliar to me, this is a re-hash of Keong Saik Bakeryâs Mamaâs Kueh Salat â given how this is a collaboration with Durian Lab Cafe, the Kueh Salat sees the addition of a layer of Mao Shan Wang Durian mousse that replaces that of the Pandan mousse and Pandan cake layer in the original version served at Keong Saik Bakery. In fact, between the two, I seemingly enjoyed the MSW Kueh Salat a little more â perhaps itâs how the durian mousse layer just seemed to carry a more consistent texture to Kueh Salat against the sticky and soft layer of glutinous rice that comes slightly savoury; all that whilst being distinctly pungent, but strangely not overly sweet or particularly overwhelming as itâs buttery aroma perfumes through to the MSW Kueh Salat without drowning out the soft hint of Pandan fragrance from the fluffy Pandan cake layer below.
Not sure why is it the case, but I found myself usually enjoying the creations that are made in collaboration with Keong Saik Bakery more than the ones done in collaboration with Flor Patisserie whenever I am at Durian Lab Cafe. That being said, I like how they always try to slide in something new every now and then just to keep things refreshing for returning patrons â not to mention their MSW Durian Sago is something to die for (at least for me).

Taro panna cotta tasted more of tea than anything else (couldnât taste the taro at all!). Garden strawberry green tea was pretty good, nice fresh strawberry included. The cream wasnât as good as RB. Overall still okay and would come as the location is a good respite from the crowd!
đž: $18
đŹ: I wouldn't have believed if you told me this was meatless đł
The patty was super juicy, and the first bite hits you with a truffle punch, though it can hardly be tasted, but i enjoyed it still
Fries were a hard pass, but I'm here for the burger & that's a solid 10
This drink pleasantly surprised us. It was essentially ice blended green bean soup with milk and pearl. The pearls were chewy and not sweet which was perfect, because the smoothie was sweet and fragrant. It felt like I was having a cold and refreshing Chinese dessert in a cup!
The smoothie was also blended smoothly and didnât have large chunks of ice in it - our first till our last sip didnât actually differ very much in taste (remember when some ice blended drinks would leave you with tasteless ice at the end).
The shop is located on the outside of Singpost beside the taxi stand. Yes, no need to SafeEntry into the mall to buy bubble tea. We visited on a weekday afternoon and didnât have to queue at all. Staff were friendly too.
Yes Iâd definitely get it again - especially when thereâs 1-for-1 with Beyond. :)
Honestly speaking,, this place doesnât give off the best first impression. Had I not know beforehand, I wouldnât have realise that this was a Japanese restaurant.
But pass the first impressions, the beef don was really good. I mean beef, truffle and egg is such a classic flavour pairing that it canât go wrong. The portion may look small but trust me, it is really filling. There was a right proportion of beef and rice. You can be assured that every scoop of rice is accompanied with some beef. Not just that, the truffle taste was prominent and you can taste it in every bite. The rice was done really well! It wasnât dry and not overly saucy. The egg also adds a nice rich and creamy flavour to the dish. Comparing the Angus to wagyu, it is definitely not as tender/ melt in ur mouth but it was still very tender and the flavour of the beef was not overpowered by the sauce or the truffle.
The only con would be that the restaurant seating only has bar facing seats and no table seats because of its Omakase style for dinner. Would not recommend this place for big groups.

9.5/10 :)

Reasonable price at around $5-$7 depending on ur topping. Much more healthy drink than bubbletea!!

This is a satisfying bowl of thick gloopy rice congee that is best shared for its comforting sweet grainy savoury flavour.
.
Garnished with a generous amount of ingredients, including soft braised peanuts with nutty salty flavour, slippery cuttlefish with natural sweet flavour, and tender Spanish mackerel fish slices with sweet savoury flavour.
.
There's also bouncy dried scallops with meaty savoury flavour, crisp spring onions with vegetal sweet flavour, and crunchy fried dough fritters with grainy sweet bready flavour.
