Other than variety of coffee and houjicha lattes by Nikoneko Matcha, they collaborate with Donut Plan and created Tsubaki Houjicha Donut. As a non-favour of houjicha, this is a really good pair with americano. Slightly bitter matcha taste and sweet from the glaze, and soft shokupan donut.

Used to be kinda chewy, but it’s more airy and crispy after toasted — garlic bagel with jalapeño cream cheese is heavenly for a savoury breakfast, a little bit sweet and spicy at each crunchy bite. If you’re brave, go for the spring onion cream cheese, very garlicky 😮‍💨

Something unusual for buttermilk pairing — smoked beef 🥴

Buttermilk Smoked Beef Rice; crispy exterior and tender beef, with sweet buttermilk sauce with a kick of spice 😮‍💨 served with rice, keropok, salad and soup.

I like it, the crispy exterior do make you remind of how buttermilk used to paired with fried chicken or batter fried squid/prawn — sense of familiarity. But it’s beef instead. You can’t go far off with buttermilk sauce and I do like the mellow sweetness with a kick of spiciness.

The donuts in general is soft and fluffy, reminds me of krispy kreme but more mouthful bite

• brown butter
it’s too salty at first bite, almost like a jolt of soy sauce lol but it mellows down with the icing sugar. Kinda messy to eat but it’s fun to alternate between both donuts.

Wash it all down with the usual cold brew tonic from @onehalf_coffee 🧡

But forgot to have their Pistachio Cheesecake again damn :(

As a person that rarely eats Korean food, I don’t mind this. The wagyu slice was mind blowing (I rarely eats wagyu so take this by the grain of salt), the fattiness and soft meat slice, the umami, damn. I’m coming here again for the hotpot if it’s rainy season, but mainly I want to try the bbq. It’s advisable to make a reservation first ☝🏻.

Tried the raved grilled cheese and honestly, I felt there’s something lacking. It could be the thick toast or the tomato sauce that I still has the bias from Provisions’ own grilled cheese. But anyhow, the salted beef and cold noodles are so nice, especially when the sun’s blazing during the weekend noon. The slight hints of sesame oil, perfectly salted beef, silky smooth rice noodles. Outstanding. Pumpkin curry pasta, reminds me of dhaal curry that’s a perfect match with a crispy roti canai (sidetracking, but I’ve been craving for weeks 😩). It would be perfect if they’d throw in more cherry tomatoes.

It has a similar *whoof* in your mouth when you bite a cardamom. The omelette did help soothe down the ‘experience’ in your mouth a little bit. I admit I couldn’t finish it all but the chicken and rice that’s virgin from the sauce. For much more fun, mix it all first before eat 🤪

We had Marinara (RM15) and Smoked Beef and Rocket (RM29). Definitely love the marinara, if only they put more of that sauce 😩 (and more garlic because I’m that kind of whore). The smoked beef was spot on 👌🏻 the rocket adds on a nice fresh crunch to every bite. Definitely coming again to try their cheese AT LEAST

Grilled Cheese with Tomato Soup (RM20), crispy, buttery sourdough toast in between crumbly mozzarella (I think it’s mozzarella) which melts when you dips a piece of it into hot, creamy, hearty and flavourful (damn that’s a lot of adjectives) tomato soup. Well let’s compare it with others, Dough & Dolce and Soul Sacrifice next in the list!
