This mind-blowing beef cutlet was an awesome finish to our Tokyo visit. #burp #whydidntanyonethinkofthisbefore
We tried the $68 12-course omakase but I would say the food was just average. Highlights for me were the oyster (very fresh, didn't need the ikura topping), the yakitori chicken skewers and the mini lamb sliders. What I *would* come back for is the bespoke cocktails, which were served up by Mateo, our very skilled bartender who truly has a passion for his craft. Thanks Mateo, for making our dinner that much more enjoyable with the fun conversation! :)
Featured here is the chicken wing confit which was very thoughtfully deboned so you can eat this in polite company. I'd say the sparkling wines outshone the food here at La Ventana but it's definitely worth checking out for the ambience. Felt like I was not in Singapore! :) #burrple
Had the set menu for two ($188) which paired wonderfully with their house Muscadet, a crisp and delicious white wine. Each dish was fresh and prepared simply but in a way which brought out the seafood's original flavor. My highlights were the oysters which we added on ala carte (and I don't normally eat oysters), the grilled baby squid, the piquant vermicelli, the scallop and the Arctic surf clams in shallot oil. Head to Nekkid (their cocktail bar) for delicious cocktails after dinner! Yum yum yum!
Affordable and yummy, quality tapas served at Moosehead Kitchen. They have a large selection of affordable wines as well. We had 1/2 dozen of the Scottish oysters which was their special of the day. Superbly fresh! Would go back again.
I'll still be dreaming of this tonight I'm sure! #burrple
Every item was a hit. Will come back here again to try the other items on the menu #burpple
Meat! Meat! This was better than Red Eye Smokehouse in my humble opinion. The brisket literally melted in my mouth and the pulled pork was moist and delicious. Highly recommend as a place for Friday night dinner & drinks #burpple
$11.80 for a salad & cold pressed juice. Salad was average yummy but juice was a really good deal! It's hard to find cold pressed juices for $5 in SG. I picked celery juice cos I was feeling guilty abt my recent pig out sessions. Yummy and refreshing. Considering the location, The Commerze @ Irving really has quite a few choices when it comes to healthy eating! I plan to check out the neighbouring eateries soon.
Part 2 of my healthy eating in MacPherson adventures! Today I tried SWAG which is an abbreviation for Salads Wraps And Greens. Their menu is pretty extensive compared to neighbouring salad shop, Round 8, but that difference is seen in the price diff as well. In the overall I was happy w my food and I would come back again to try their other offerings and maybe build my own salad the next time!
